As some of you know I invited a couple youth over to harvest does. The first hunter cole just got his first deer. A 3x3 mulie, not exactly a doe, but I couldn't tell him to let it walk. It was so cool to be there for his first deer, he has been hunting for 5 years and I can't think of a more deserving kid and dad. I will post pics when I get home and will update you throughout the week on the other hunters.

I love to see the kids involved... it brings back so many memories. I can almost remember the anticipation and the first sights and smells of the hunt. Well done!

Bigpaw, I want to thank you again for allowing my son the opportunity to hunt in your youth hunt. Even though he did not harvest an animal he had a fantastic time. He loves describing the sights and sound of the deer coming in and then how shaky he got trying to make the shot. He is defiantly hooked for life.
Thank you again, it was nice to meet you and your family.

Way to go!
Nice start to an addiction for sure. :)

This is more fun than when I was guiding elk hunters in Wyoming. I think these youth apreciate it more. Next year I'm going to make this bigger with more land and more young hunters.

Good work Bigpaw! Thanks for taking the time for the youth.

We had another young hunter come out with her dad on tuesday and wednesday. On wednesday evening she made a great shot on a whitetail doe. I will let her dad and her tell you guys the story and post the pics. Let me tell you this girl is going to be a very successful hunter, she was perfectly still while we waited for deer to come in on tuesday. She is very respectful of the animals and I think she has more patience than I do. And she was the first one to find the blood trail. I look forward to hunting with them again in the future.
