Title: Full Moon
Post by: SnowDog on October 20, 2010, 07:06:59 PM
What's the consensus on how a full moon impacts duck hunting? Are they feeding more at night, making for a shorter morning flight? Any other tactics the experts use during a full moon?

Thanks in advance!

I think I've heard that if the weather is pushing birds down, ducks will migrate all night on a full moon? So you can get fresh birds.. I can't remember the source that I heard that from.. but I believe it also said that great hunting can be had the following morning.  :dunno:

I would believe geese in particular would travel more at night during a full moon. It seems like darkness already does not deter them from nightly migration.
