Title: snow and duck spread
Post by: Stilly bay on October 21, 2010, 04:04:11 PM
im going to be hunting a field where the corn just came down. I have a bunch of canada and duck field decoys that I will be setting up, but I was also thinking of doing a snow goose spread for the heck of it at the same time.

the trouble is all I have is headless texas rags for snows, Im wondering if the rags will flare any ducks that come in?  I used to kill snows pretty regular with just trash bags, but I can't remember ever getting many ducks with that set up.

what do the experts have to say?

Don't put out the snows until they start flying or only if they start working your spread.
