well while hunting this past weekend found what most hunters dont want to find two dead deer that the people who shot them did not find one was at least two days old and one was just left because they shot a 2 by 1 in a 3 point min. area made me sick. the big one was a nice 3x4 muley.

no but that is the only place we could find were it had been shot this was done just south of spokane
-
my reaction was about the same as you guys i was pissed
-
That is a horrible waste....No excuse for shooting a 2x1 especially cause they probably just shot it then checked for a 3rd point...then walked away! As for the 3x4....most likely some guys nightmares right there! I personaly have found a couple like that....mostly during the old late muzzy cow hunts! Though I did find a huge 6x6 bull once with 3 shots in it during a muzzy season! Hate to see it........

Was it possible that this was the same group of guys that shot both of these animals?
I agree about the 3X4, if they were poachers, or just shooting for fun, they would have taken the rack. Some guy probably lost sleep over this one. Doesn't make it right, bad shots do happen.
Why would you even shoot at that little 2X1? a-holes

People suck!! >:(
-
That sucks............
-
That completely ticks me off. I just spent 6 days chasing Mulies around hill sides, wheat fields and sage brush. Could taken about a dozen 2pts (in a 3pt min. area) but never had one slight bit of a thought of squeezing the trigger unless I was damn sure it was legal. Don't get me wrong I had an awesome time and wouldn't trade it for anything but pictures like this make me sick. Not sure which one pisses me off more. Guys "shot checking deer" or someone not wanting to put the effort into tracking down a wounded animal, and thats a damn nice Buck!

SAD............What a waste! >:(

What a waste!! >:( >:( >:(

Looks like open country, no brush it should have been easy to find with a little effort. What a shame.
-
>:( :dunno: >:( Man Hunterman and I would have given anything to see either one of those bucks during the season, to go along with our 2 point we got... >:( :dunno: >:( That is a waste of good meat!!!!! If I were the one to shoot the 2 by 1 in a 3 pt area I would hone up to it, tag the deer and admit my mistake and accept what was coming for me. What a bunch of *censored* non hunting basturds!!!!!!!! >:( >:( >:( >:(

:'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: Just a waste...

Sad deal

When Mule deer are that small I don't even try to put 3 points on them. It has a recipe for disaster. I myself have found too many dead deer like the small one you found. If you have to strain yourself to try and figure out if it is a 3 point you should probably hold off. Just my opinion. I hate seeing people in the woods without binoculars in 3 point minimum areas. It ought to be mandatory.
-
Sad. Very sad. :(

I agree, even it has 3 points, I sometimes wear my binocluars out trying to figure if it's an inch, have always ended up passing on marginal. sad to see but we don't know that the person who shot the bigger one "didn't try", like someone has already said, that hunter probably lost sleep over it.

Man that makes me sick.. I found a 1x2 while hunting in winthrop area last month, someone had shot, and must of saw that it was a elegal deer after the fact. STUPID people :bash: :bash:
-
 :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:
-
I can't imagine being of the state of mind that I'd do this. I sometimes even feel bad with coyotes can't imagine doing it to a deer.
-
Waste of good meat for sure....
-
Very sad.. I'm sorry this happens. Those animals certainly deserve more respect than this.
-
LOL, was it far from a road. every winter and spring i find one or two this way ( bones of course) by a yote spot of mine. pretty sure that they are road shot, during the season, deer fails to drop, and the shooter drives off, rather than spending time looking for it while trespassing.
-
The person that shot the legal buck may not have been aware that he had hit it. I have talked to so many people that shot and assume they missed because the animal did not show any indication it was hit. They don't even walk over and look. I was about a mile from the road out of Yakima, and came on a dead spike elk (had a unusual crooked horn on one side). This was only a hour after opening morning. I went about 1/4 mile and talked to a couple of hunters and ask how they had done. One said he had shot at a spike with a crooked horn and missed. I ask if he had went to see if he had hit it. His reply was"No, if I hit him with this Weatherby even in the leg, he would have went down" I directed him to the elk.

Not really.Sad yes,unbelievable? Nope.
Ask the family of the brush picker that was shot.
I heard a noise!

Such a waste of a couple of nice bucks, the tasty venison, and the experience for someone else was robbed, DAM SHAME And how in the hell could you even justify the 2x1, Stevie Wonder could see he's not anywhere near legal!!

I agree, I could of shot a legal buck on Thursday night but didn't because I checked and then cross checked the points then ran out of light!!!!
-
sad waste right there. the one i am sure was just left because it was shot and not legal, when they walked up to it. the other one, someone just made a bad shot and it got away. i don't think anyone would have left that buck if they had found it.
-
i hope the slobs that did this rot in hell... so retarded..... and the brush shooter... wow... i been trying to keep cheap orange plastic vest to give out to people that are picking mushrooms.. etc.... seen a few by skate creek
-
Where did you find them? what unit and area?
-
Please tell us all what GMU this is? Maybe it will turn over some leads to these ignorant's.
-
I clearly missed a 2x3 opening morning this year and still spent over 2 hours making sure there was no blood and the animal was not hit! No excuse for this at all and I totally agree that binos should be REQUIRED in a 3 point or better area! Makes me friggin sick!
-
I found a dead 2x2 while out this last weekend hunting with my kids. It was left from the weekend prior. Looks like it was shot in its bed and left there after they found out it wasnt a 3 pt. :bash: Pissed me off. Used it as an opportunity to teach my kids.
-
Wow I cant understand way people would do that...
That really sucks
-
It really sucks when you see them walk up to a wounded deer they just shot, realize its a 2 point, then disappear leaving the buck to die. We were to far away to do anything about it right then. But we worked our way over, called fish and game and ended up putting the deer down.
That was a real pisser.
-
Opening day we saw two idiots shooting at a herd of deer across a draw. 3 shots. I told PathfinderJR to get ready, the herd was coming our way. When they did, the only buck with them was a slick 2x2. "Well," I thought "They must have hit the buck they were shooting at." I peeked back over the spur and there they were, sitting in the same place they had been shooting from. They had been shooting at the 2x2. :bash: :bash: :bash:
-
sorry guys been busy those deer were shot in the mica unit 127 not on the hill but out just west of freeman
-
To hear this is both sad, and disheartening how can we continue to expand our hunting heritage when we have people like this out giving all good sportsman a bad name. We all have stories of bad experiences with other hunters in our time spent in the outdoors. We know these people are unethical lawbreakers. Unfortunately to the people who we share the outdoors with that arent hunters we are all just guys in camo out murdering gods beautiful creation, and leaving it to rot. Behaviour like this will do more that waste venison it will create a passionate anti-hunting movement out of people who otherwise would just share the woods with us.
-
Thats wrong!!! I say tie em up tar and feather them!! >:( >:( >:( >:(
-
Unfortunately. Some guys can take long distant shots and never find where the deer was initial shot from. You got to make the shot count or you can loose them as it shows.
