I believe that at some point everything reaches a point where it's too expensive to justify regardless. I think King of the Mountain clothing is a perfect example of this.
If anyone has any experience with this and thinks I'm wrong I'm all ears, but how much better can this stuff possibly be?

Well, it's pretty nice stuff from a cut and comfort standpoint.  From a quality standpoint, it's near the top of the scale too.  I own some Sleeping Indian which is very similar (employee spin-off company).  With today's synthetics, I don't wear as much wool as I once did and in the PacNorthwest, don't really find a use for it for the kind of hunting I mostly do.  If you look at Columbia and Cabela's wool, it's come a long way in terms of quality and especially fit.  The cut of most wool was straight and didn't bend well with your arms, shoulders, and torso.  King Cavalier took wool a few steps forward with King of the Mountain.  Others have followed suit so today, unlike the early 90's when King of the Mountain really took hold, you have a lot more choices for less money.  Like all premium brands, it isn't for everyone whether you can afford it or not.

I always say: a lot of big animals were tagged in blue jeans and a plaid shirt.

Wow.  I looked at their website and the prices made my eyes hurt.
