I personally like my Tika T3 25-06. But I want to know what do you like?
-
I really like my Tikka T3 .300 WSM but I like my Ruger Hawkeye .243 a little better.
-
My .308 Remington 700 VTR with 6-24x50 scope with mil-dot reticle and a harris bi-pod. :)
Hopefully soon to be replaced with a 300WINMAG Savage Long Range Hunter with same scope, but with a 30MOA base and same bi-pod.
-
I really like all of them. But my good old boat paddle stock Ruger 77SS in 300 win mag topped with a leupy vx II in 3x9 just flat seems to kill stuff everytime I pick it up.
-
My custom M25 with US Optics SN-3 is my best rifle, but my favorite is the same as goldtips. My old ruger always kills.
-
Well i really like my 300 wsm stainless ruger, topped with my zeiss 3-9 stainless conquest, loaded with 180 grain xtp. The gun has performed flawless as with the scope.
-
Well my only rifle is a browning A-Bolt Stainless Synthetic left handed model, chambered for the .270 Winchester, and topped with a Luepold VX-II 3-9x40mm, it works good for me.
-
I know a lot of you may laugh but I love my inexpensive Savage 110 30-06. Perfect for anything in the state. Great in the brush and good in the open!!

I don't think anyone should laugh at a Savage, they make some very accurate, but cheap rifles.

.300 Win Mag 27.5" Hart Barrel, Blueprinted 700 action, HS Stock, Jewell trigger, DE brake - NF 5.5-22x50.
-
270 Win, Browning a-bolt composite stalker, 140 gr Accubonds. All in all, kinda boring compared to some of the cool custom rifles posted here, but the plain ole Browning sure is flawless.
-
My Remington Sendero 7mm RUM. 150 grain bullet 3600fps. Topped with a Leopold VX-III 4.5-14x50 LR. Nothing custom, just an over the counter rifle. Its a tack driver.
-
Sako 7mm-08 only rifle I own

What do you mean by "Best"? Best shooting or favorite or worth the most $$ or ??
My best shooting is my Kimber LRV Model 84 in 22-250. 26" fluted SS barrel with 20X Leupold.
Favorite is M-721 Remington .270 that my Grandpa bought new in '48. He built a custom Maple stock for it in '86 and my Dad cleaned it up and re-blued it a couple years back and gave it to me. I topped it with a 4.5-14 Leupold. It has killed almost every big game animal in North America. MD, BT, WT, elk, goats, sheep, moose, bears... I wish it could talk.
-
1895gs. Happy Trigger Kit, Bearproof ejector, heavy mag spring, anodized mag follower, ghost ring sights, Decelerator recoil pad
This was it for years, sold it for a downpayment on my last jeep. Still carry the Limited version, straight stock, octagon barell, 5 rd mag 45-70, no pics

I know a lot of you may laugh but I love my inexpensive Savage 110 30-06. Perfect for anything in the state. Great in the brush and good in the open!!
Laugh? Now way. In all honesty, Savage has become my preferred manufacturer over the last couple years. In the process of building a switch - barrrel rig now. I'll be able to shoot a light recoiling 250 savage or a 338/06 all with just a 20 minute barrel change. Love my Savages!
-
Savage has really stepped up their products in the past few years, I was tempted to pick one up a few months back, but ended up going with another rifle due to a sweet deal
My new goto would have to be my new T/C Venture .270
Love the thing, but the weather has me feeling weary about bringing it out into the field... not stopping me though, just alot of 2nd guessing
-
Savage? :salute:
My most Special rifle is the Savage 219. Single shot 30-30, 26in barell. I also have a Model 220 barell, it's a 28in 20ga that snaps on. The fit of steel to wood of the receiver is seamless, like one molded piece. The 30-30 barell looks like it belongs on Ma Deuce, 3.5lbs, wall thickness of 3/8-7/16ths...
What makes it so special? Grandpa bought it when Dad was off in the South Pacific during WWII. When Dad got back it went on countless Elk and Deer trips, Grandpa got his game all the time. It stayed at Grandpas till he could no longer live alone. Dad made sure he got it before his brother found it. It's in my bedroom now on display.

My 1988 Marlin® 444SS - Hits like the Hammer of Thor!

Gamo shadow cat! :) 177 1200 ftps and I can shoot it all day long in my yard and the kids love it. Ammo is cheap and no hearing protection required :chuckle:
-
A year or so ago I picked up a T/C Encore with the 300 win mag heavy barrel and a .22-250 heavy barrel. I frickin love that thing. Since I got it I had a Defensive Edge brake installed on the 300 barrel, I got the Bellm TC's hinge pin, their hammer spring and hammer extender, their trigger springs and got some other little nick-nack stuff done to it. It's got a Talley 1 piece lightweight mount with a Vortex Diamondback 4-12x scope on her....It shoots bugholes and I can watch the bullets hit. No recoil. Next upgrade will be glass when $$ allow.

Remington Mod 700 Sendero in .300RUM. Defensive Edge brake, Jewell trigger set at 2lbs, and a 6.5-20x50 Zeiss Conquest. Weighs in around 12lbs when loaded :)
-
I guess my best would be my favorite. It's a 1959-60 vintage Sako L579 .308 Mannlicher. Comes in a about 6 1/2 lbs. Absolutely love hunting whitetails with it. Mint condition after all those years.
-
I'm not much of a gun hunter... But I would have to say I like my Remington 700 BDL in a 243 win with the 24" barrel and the Leupold 3.5 - 10 x 50 VX-L! Hand loaded some 55 gr nosler ballistic tips and they are shooting 4150 fps! Not quite fast enough IMO.. :chuckle: Sweet gun and easy to shoot! Coyotes don't really stand a chance..
-
Here are mine. First one is my big game rifle Browning Abolt 7mm WSM with a McMillan stock, Timney trigger spring kit topped with a Leupold VX3 3.5-10X50. Shooting 150gr Swift sirraccos with IMR 435o.
Second one is my varmint rifle Winchester model 70 .243 Heavy flutted barrel, H&S Precision stock and Jewel trigger topped with Leupold VX3 4.5-14X50. Shooting 55gr Nosler Balistic tips with H380.

Olympic Arms "Game stalkers," 300 Super Short Mag and 243 WSSM. Nice shooten guns.
-
Been a bow hunter for almost 20 years now and only have a .22 and handguns. Back when I did rifle hunt the 1st gun out of the closet was my Ruger M77 .300 WM with Leupold 3x9.
Was looking at 1 yesterday just like it and had it not been so close to xmas, I would have found a way to sneak it in the house, didn't think it was a good time to dip into the cookie jar. ;)
-
See it doesnt take an expensive gun. http://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,61141.0.html (http://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,61141.0.html)
-
Am I starting to sound like a broken record yet? :chuckle: Tikka T3 in .30-06. Lightweight and accurate with very managable recoil.
-
Sako 234 or my Sako 270 or the Sako 22-250
Ya Sako all the way... of course with Leopold Scopes!!!
-
As far as most valuable? Noveske N4 or Springfield M1A.
Best practical hunting rifle would be a Ruger No. 1 in .338 Win.
-
My favorite rifle browning a-bolt in the 270 shooting 130gr. core lokt bullets never had a problem with this weapon.absolute nail driver.tried more expensive bullets but she just loves them core lokt.
-
It would be interesting to hear the most valuable...
-
257 Roberts and 30-06 both are Ruger RL M77's. Light and short. Great shooting guns.
