Post by: wsmnut on October 30, 2010, 07:45:11 AM: Southeast of Twisp a bit my son and I saw 6 bucks Thursday morning, with 2 does. 2 points or 2 x 1's. One massive Spork. Good grief he was big. Not an eye guard on that fellow....
Later on I realized one buck was a whitetail. I really owe my son for that mistake.
Next morning we saw a doe with 2 fawns.
Checked out our usual Alta haunt on Saturday, but saw nothing. Hillsides nearly sterile.
Back to plan "A" location Sunday morning. One doe. Way to many people.

My season was over by 8:30am. Tried to put the wife on one the rest of the week but no luck. Only one in our camp of 7 to score. This is the first whitetail I have ever seen where we hunt.
