We have this doe blacktail that likes our 5 acre property. She's given birth to fawns in our yard the last couple years. I suspect she likes it because of the 4' high fence around the property keeps the coyotes and neighborhood dogs out for the most part. We had not seen the fawn with her since September. I was a little worried that he had been hit by a car or became coyote or cougar food. He and momma were out back this morning munching away on clover. :)
Now I just hope she and the little fella make it through late ML and late archery. This unit is open for either sex deer. I have a late ML tag but I won't hunt near home.
Check out the size of his rack. :)

I'm thinking I need to set the trail cam up in the yard to see if I can get a pic of the buck that knocks this doe up each year.

He would be tasty, wouldn't he? :)
He didn't even figure out how to jump the fence for the first few months of his life. He lived on my 5 acres until September when he finally figured out how to jump the fence. He was a slower learner than his sister that was born in the yard last year; she jumped out the first week of July.
