Title: Permit packets.

Rick, yes, you will need to go to the Rayonier office in Aberdeen to pick up a map and an access permit. Even though I hunted it a bit last year, I am still not sure where to start.

The Copalis unit doesn't have any real damage areas so we are on our own.

Post by: SuperDave on April 04, 2008, 06:54:18 PM: Hopefully the snow starts melting for you bearhunter! Was up that way last week and there is still quite a bit of snow, not totally certain where the area lies, but with the snow, should concentrate the bears down low. Keep us posted and good luck!

Same old map huh? Bummer. I have not seen anything yet, but I expect them to be moving. The weather has been moderate and we have had rain for the last few days.
They just had a large ORV event up there with a few hundred riders.

Now what really t's me off is I found out today that we have to pay $25 bucks to access Rayonier this year. Might just be the straw that broke the camels back. I know that is not alot of money, but there is no damage, most of the gates are (and if like last year, will be) locked.
