well Last week was spent outside of Nome Alaska. I was cpntracted to guide and film for the show Live The Wild Life on the sprotsmens channel. We where hunting big bulls in the snow. the weather was cold and the fog would not leave us alone. I spotted a great bull thursday night and bedded him down that day witch came arond 4pm. we planned the hunt for the next day. 18 hours later we where back out looking for the bull. I just cougt a glimps of him in the fog moveing threw the willows. Off we went after about a half mile stalk we where wit in 130 yards and gus made a great shot with an iron sighted rifle. It ended up being a great hunt and we got some great footage for the show.

The Seward Peninsula ROCKS..!!! Terrific Bull. Can you still buy a non-resident moose tag over the counter for the Seward Peninsula? I have taken three nice bulls there but all were in the 80's Now I have an 18 year old son and I would love to bring him up to hunt.

yeah you can still get tags for the Sep season. it is just a logistic nightmare getting up there to hunt and get everything home. But you are right i love hunting that place.

I know about the logistics. Did it in 1986 to placer mine gold for 3 months on Iron Creek. Transported everything from Las Vegas. Biggest problem for me now is transportation when on the ground. Pick up and a quad. I'll have to give it some thought in the next few years. Again, nice bull
