Title: hunting regs
Post by: csaaphill on November 13, 2010, 03:31:35 AM: Here I have posted a poll I think is important.
It seems that the dead line to get in your special permits has been pushed back but in my area and believe in most hunting regulation pamphlets don't come out or become available untill it's too late or close to the deadline.
So my poll is should the regulation booklets be out sooner so those that want to put in for a special permit can and have the time to do so. Each year thigns change so using last years booklet isn't a real good idea and could end up waisting money doing so if things changed from last year to present.
So agian I ask you to vote and see if we could get those out sooner.

I liked it when it was later in the year, after most of the other western states had already drew. That way if I drew an out of state tag I could just put in for points here.

As a frequent shopper of state licenses and tags, I feel that we should be treated to a quality copy of the regs, delivered to our home or post office box, delivered early in the year. This would require them to step up decision making, or to manage on a broader/longer term rather than making quick decisions based upon "emergent" conditions.

You should also receive an application packet with this regulation pamphlet, a reminder calendar stick up to remind you of upcoming deadlines, a recap of your previous purchases from wildlife, plus a thank you.

Wildlife needs to start treating hunters as a valued customer.

That would be ideal but I think my odds are better at hitting the lottery.

Seems to people aren't getting the poll or something becuase I've tryed around here to get a pamphlet as early as march but no good. So how can June be quick enough when the deadline is in May.

Why would you need more then a few weeks to decide on where your going to put in for permit.

Now if the poll was, Would you like the regs to come out sooner an dpermit draw done sooner, then that would be a better question. I would sure like to know before the end of July if i was drawn or not :bash:
