Post by: backcountry55 on November 13, 2010, 09:00:54 PM: what part of that deer is muley? small ears, has a black tail. i have hunted there for years and could count on one hand the mule deer ive seen there. scrub oaks rocky ,small river that = muley it could have some in it im not a biologist but i would say no!

How many blackis have wide three point racks like that? I grew up in that country leave White Salmon head east and the racks just keep getting bigger. My uncle's live in Goldendale and have lots of nice mulie crosses to show for. My grandpa's basement is full of berdoin mt blacktail/mulie cross bucks.

The guy killed a nice buck. Leave it at that. There's always got to be one in every crowd I guess.

Yeah, have the late Archery tag and put in 2.5 days of hunting. Seen one really nice buck just a tad smaller than this one in this thread and another smaller buck. Couldn't close the gap on either to get the shot....
