Title: Blues Foothill tags
Post by: nwhunter on November 14, 2010, 02:24:24 PM
Anyone on here have a late foothills tag and been out? I will be over midweek with my boy who has the tag so wondered if anyone had a report. I assume the rut should be starting soon and the weather looks like cold and snowy by end of week so should be good. nwhunter

I have the late muzzleloader permit and was over looking around south of Waitsburg today.  Saw a few does late and a ton of tracks.  I talked to a guy who has a rifle permit and he said he was seeing quite a few smaller bucks chasing does and it's been better each day.  He was hunting higher up in the trees where I was looking a couple of miles away in the wheatfields.  We could use some snow, but it was 55 degrees on the way home.
