Title: Late Buck's (Warning: Blood & Guts)
Post by: hendog on November 18, 2010, 09:28:24 PM
Me and my hunting partner shot two buck's today on Hancock Tree Farm. Here is his Big body 3pt. Field dress weight 175lbs @  butcher shop.

O.K., by popular demand the blood & guts pic is back up.

Maybe someone should start a poll on grafic Pics. I'm a firm beliver in democracy.

nice buck real heavy. But you should really try and put out a bit more respect for the game you are hunting. the presentation of the photos is crap!! but good job on your hunt.

You watch to many hunting shows on TV. Hunting is what it is. You kill game & there is blood and guts. Disrespecting the game is when you road hunt all day, blast a deer off the road & call it hunting.

Where did the pic go? Just some blood and guts. May not be a pretty pic but not all are. I may PREFER a pic of the deer/hunter with less gore but don't mind seeing it. Hell, I posted one a few weeks ago of a close up of the heart after meeting up with a 130 gr Partition.

joebear's a guide in AK.  He sees a lot of that kind of stuff - A LONG WAY from where they park the plane with the tundra tires or skis.  Not to speak for him, but I think he just appreciates a good picture of the animal for the sake of respecting the animal, the fact that someone went out and shot it and, I believe, so will the hunter in a couple of years when he is remembering the hunt.  Anyway, he complimented the guy on a fine hunt and a good deer.

And I'll comment on the guy's hunt while I'm at it - Congrulations on a fine deer!  Good job; blacktails can be a tough hunt.

Very nice bucks, congrats!!

One thing maybe to keep in mind, is that as a hunters, we know what to expect and are used to seeing the "Blood & guts" associated with hunting.   But I am sure that the anti-hunting groups cruise sites like this, just looking for something to use against us with the anti or uninformed non-hunting public.

And saying something like "Disrespecting the game is when you road hunt all day, blast a deer off the road & call it hunting."   Just seems to me that road hunting is just another method here that some hunters choose.   I kinda see it like how the bear hunters who chose to use bait or hounds were put out as unsportsman-like and not "real" hunters.   Baiting & using hounds was just another method of hunting.   To each his own.

But every time the anti-hunting groups can find something to use against us or put a twist on to sway opinion their way, they will use it.

Just thought I would throw this out as food for thought.  Like I said at the begining, nice bucks.  Congratulations!

Last comment is *censored*. "Disrespecting the game is when you road hunt all day, blast a deer off the road & call it hunting ". Who made you God ? That's the biggest crock of *censored* I've ever heard. Maybe you should move to another site. I hunt the way I'm gonna hunt, ATVs, whatever. I don't care. It's people like you that cause allot of *censored* on forums. So, if I'm kicked off of here for standing up for myself and others hunters that CAN'T walk around in the woods, so be it. You're full of *censored*..............Good Bye my disabled friends.

i can understand both sides to this. this is getting way off line. lets try to get it back on topic, if you don't have anything nice to say then just don't say it. lets be respectful to each other and move on. we all have way better things to be worried about other then a few pictures.

O.K. you win! You do pose your critters better than most.
But since the cool new thing to do is blast everyones photo's. Where are the tags on yours?? :dunno:

If I sound like a smart a$$. Good that's what I was trying for.

Can't a guy just post some pics. with out getting blown up. We all ask to see them. Then some just pick them apart.

Thank budd. as for blasting photos i was trying to make a point and did. I think the bucks he shot are great i would love to get a buck like that. But what I was really grtting at is dont jump to saying remarks like who someone is or awhat they do or even try to be a good guy and then talk about tags your just as bad. we all hunt and I was just stateing an opinon and that was all. as for all the cutdowns  that is bs and some of you guys should think before you open your mouth.

Very nice bucks and I loved your pics.  Like the fellow said, it'll all clean up when it's in the little white packages.  Good job. :)   :)

Joebear, nice pics but myself I like a little blood in my pics.  Like the one of your lovely Boss and the blood has been cleaned up, I would've liked it better with it left on, but that's just my opinion.  I do agree if we would all give our brain just a second or two before we engage our jaws we wouldn't say half as much as we do, at least negatively. :twocents:   :)

Everyone thanks for the pics.

Makes you wonder what these people are thinking when they comment on someone else hunt photos?WTH, its hunting. What are you suppose to do, shoot the deer, but don't gut it and don't show it? give the guy a break, sounds like someone is a little jealous. People who do this want it both ways, no guts, but all the glory. Blacktails are hard to hunt.  If your not getting bloody after you kill a deer, there is something wrong with you.

Look a Sarah Palins show, she was gutting Halibut and cutting heads off last night, awesome!

Anyway, Good job, nice bucks who gives a SH!* what they think.

As I said before, nice bucks, horrible presentation.

This isn't about people who don't like blood or other silly comments like jealousy.  Lets try and think of it this way.....If there was a photo contest those photos wouldn't win.  It's no secret that most pics in most magazines or any other harvested pics have the animals legs tucked under them and out of respect, try to make the animal look as natural as possible.  The anti's know by looking at a harvested buck that it was killed, but showing more "blood and guts" than really necessary doesn't make anything "better", it only may offend others.

I'm not saying to be ashamed of butchering.  Just remember when the hound hunting videos were all over the type of images they showed to sway the vote.

Cheers!
Gringo
