Nice animals, That has got to be the biggest (natural ;)) salt deposit on earth. I guess they love that stuff! Let's see some more. Good stuff. That's got to be a long drive to check some cam's. Wish I was there.
-
I am not sure how long it has been illegal to salt in Montana, but that lick has been there for at least 60 years. To my kknowledge it has not had any salt added to it in quite some time. Just enough left in the ground to keep them coming back. :) :) ;)

I used to work back there along time ago and around some just like that. You see elk walk in and there gone for 30 to 45 min. then they climb back out. It's cool you found an old one, keep using it it still work's. Those are some great pic's. :)

some good honey holes. thanks for posting.

looks like a good area, those are some nice critters.

Nice pics, the Bob rocks! Since Montana outlawed trailcams during hunting season, did you take your cameras down prior to hunting season or say screw it? Don't worry, since there's no dates on your photos, no one can turn you in, lol! Pretty stupid regulation IMO.

nice pics.
can you imagine how cold it is there right now.......holy shivers. my guess is -45 and 40 mph wind.

I am working for a outfitter so we had the cameras down on the 4th of Sept before season. He is a very "BY THE BOOK" guy. I can't wait to see what we get this year. We also got a couple of wolf pics and a cougar. I will try to find those pics and post them. :) :)

Nice pics John!! That thing is a gold mine!!!

Cool... Tell us more about being in the Bob... Most of us will only be able to live it through others!!

Little John - Does your Outfitter have a website with hunting information and his rates (just in case I stumble across several K that needs spending, lol); and if so, would you recommend using him? PM me if you'd like. Thanks
-
Yea who is the outfitter you worked for?
-
I was working for Montana Backcountry Outfitters. He doesn't have a web site yet, I have been on him like stink on $hit to get one up and running. I will post a bunch more pics of the BOB this weekend, so you guys can live in the Bob through me :chuckle: :chuckle:. It is a "words can't describe" place. I feel very blessed to be in the position to be in there 4 weeks a year.

some great looking animals  thanks for sharing

Do you guys hunt anywhere near the China Wall?
-
Yes Sky, we hunt right behind the wall. You can see it from base camp, it is amazing!!!
