I'm looking to take my dad on a doe hunt.gmu 142 is the closest unit to where he lives .I was wondering about public land acess.Any info would be great.

142 has very little public land.  There is some down by the dams.  Study your maps, you should be able to find a doe.

If you draw a doe tag in 142, send me a pm.   You can hunt our ranch.   We've got a 100 of 'em.

That's a great offer JJ. Jason if you have a doe tag, you will not have to find public land just know on one or two doors.

JJhunter great offer..and you do have 100's.

I would also make the suggestion of knocking on some doors. There are lots of landowners in 142 that are just as friendly and have some great hunting!
