The long snout and appearance of being long legged makes it look like that of a wolf. But the rusty brown coloration visible makes it look like a coyote. But why would a coyote be wearing a collar? ..... strange indeed.

And one more thing. Remind me to never post a picture of my hunting area kill sites, if you can almost call the state 1800 miles away from a stamp and some plants. It would take you about 45 seconds to be on the ridge above me. :chuckle: Well actually I am on the top of the ridge so beside me then.

A buddy of mine has pictures of them as far south as Tomah almost 5 years ago. Of course, that not according to the DNR there. I also wondered why a coyote would have a collar on it. That actually looks like one of my neighbor's mutts.
