After about 35 days of moose hunting I found the one. I was looking for a moose with big fronts and found it. To let people know I killed this moose in the same time frame as a permit tag and had no more of an advantage as the next guy. Turned down some whoppers this year and didn't even kill the biggest scoring moose. One of the funnest hunts I have been on. Enjoy.

That is a good one for sure. So you have the story?
-
You probably will get a story one of these days as he is still over there looking for a whitetail and a elk. He is seeing quite a few whitetails just not the right one yet and a few elk with the same scenario. Seems a little harder than we thought to find a big elk. Weather seems to be a problem a lot of the time as it is either raining even at 6000 feet or foggy. I think he is on day 46 now and yes his new bride seems to be very understanding. She knew what she was in for when they got married and especially after they landed in LA from their honeymoon and while standing in customs he got the call about the tag he had drawn. Problem was she thought she was a instant millionaire, only to find out it was a little different type of lotto tag or raffle tag. She has still been great through it all and I do wish we could all be that lucky.

That you Martin? haha I was thinking the same thing that she must be very forgiving to let him go that long. :chuckle:
-
Nope, not Martin but both of them are my sons

Right on Joe. This is Adam. Hope you guys find your elk and deer soon!
-
From the sound of things he might have to pick up a pair of shed and put them back on something. Sounds like they are falling off pretty fast. Last year I ran into that problem around the 25th of Dec. seems earlier this year.
-
Elk down
-
Here is another pic
-
Way to go! That another raffle tag or draw tag?
-
Fabulous!

Very nice bull! congrats :IBCOOL:

Way to go! That another raffle tag or draw tag?
It's the raffle tag combo package that includes a moose, elk, and whitetail for NE WA. Great moose and Elk!
-
Wow! What a year for you!
-
It's crunch time now for that big whitey, the pressure is on since they're already dropping. Good luck.
-
So he drew a raffle tag that included all three species!?!?! Dang..that is Awesome.
-
So he drew a raffle tag that included all three species!?!?! Dang..that is Awesome.
yes....
-
Wow talk about a raffle to win! I was having dreams about drawing one of those raffles when the new regulations first came out. . . Talk about doing it justice!
-
Well deer down. Not to many WT left with antlers. I am happy with my results.
-
I'll say it again... What a season! Congratulations Videoman!
-
This NE raffle package is a lot to endure in one season. The time and effort it took to take down trophy quality animals is not as easy as one might think. The NE corner of WA is thick and rugged. It feels good to be done even though the whitetail didn't meet my goal. Hope all you guys enjoyed the pics. Good luck to the guy next year.
-
get the moose on the same page
-
I see a wedding ring on your finger too... You're a brave dude...I'd sleep lightly for the next few months, smothered with a pillow can look a lot like a heart attack.. :chuckle:
-
I married a good one or one that doesn't like me around to much. Been married for 5 months.
-
Congrats on an awesome season.
Thanks for the stories and pics, you did the raffle well my man.
Maybe some day I can do it Justice like you have done.
Again Well done! and I bet you are tired!!
-
You're crazy........Congrats on completing the trifecta.
You definitely found the right Bride. Was it 50+ days? I was getting burnt out at 20 so I can't imagine the time and effort you spent on these tags. There is nobody out there who would have put in more time than you in filling these tags and with Stud animals to boot. You deserved it....
Is that moose at Buzzi's yet? I want to see it....
-
Looks like you will be well fed for awhile as well. Look on the recipe board for some new ideas maybe :chuckle:
Congrats. That is just a great season!!!!
-
Nice work videoman you did those tags justice. That's a damn nice whitey too, lots of meat in the freezer...you better take next season off since you wont have any room in the freezer or on the wall. Congrats!!
What order would you rank the hunts as the funnest as i'm sure they were all fun?
-
congrata brian!!! you def lived up to all the expectations and we appreciate someone as dedicated as you to getting it done...jed
-
Nice critters Videoman, you did that set of tags proud with all the time you put in.
-
Way to go! Thats a helluva season!
I appreciate the effort you put in on that raffle tag! Bought a few myself ;)
Nice animals!
-
Way to go dude, that sure was a hell of season you had, nice racks.
-
Congrats videoman, I am really happy to see that permit go to someone like you, someone who appreciates the value of it and took full advantage of it. Not some guy who only made it out for one weekend because he could not get away from work or because his kids had soccer. Great job and hopefully you can rest now.
-
Great story and pictures :) looks like you need to go hunting for another freezer now with all that meat. Congats
-
Way to go..congratulations!
-
nice pics and story congrats
-
I LOVE IT I HOPE SHE DOES. TOO. :chuckle: THANKS FOR SHARING. j
-
congratulations! nice work!
-
Nice work on the NE hat trick! It's ok that wt isn't huge, you did those tags justice. Lot's of hard work paying off. I bet you have one hell of a taxedermy bill... wdfw should cover that with the win of the raffle. :chuckle:
