Title: Deer hunting in Stillwater?
Post by: furthark on December 07, 2010, 03:59:06 PM
I'm looking for a place to hunt in gmu 454 and am wondering if anyone has experience hunting deer at Stillwater? It looks like it's primarily pheasant and waterfowl but they do list deer under the wildlife.

Thanks

I'm pretty sure its firearms restricted, at least the last time I checked it out it a sign posted said something about centerfire rifles being verbodden

If your trying for 454 there are tons of spots. The area around Issaquah is pretty good

Early in the archery season there are some deer back along the river and even a few elk from time to time but after pheasant and waterfowl seasons open, they pretty much get spooked out of there.  There are much better spots in 454 to hunt the late season than at Stillwater.  Tiger Mountain off Highway 18 is one of them........

Thanks. That makes sense about the deer leaving after pheasant season starts.
