Post by: gramps on December 09, 2010, 10:54:26 AM
I have great respect for all you who trap.  This is alot of work..especially beavers.
I need to thank a man I recently met here in the valley for the help and advice on this beaver set...Thanks EC
BTW...caught another this AM.  51 lbs.   Will have to see if that is all in this location.

NICE job Gramps.  You should see the amount of work involved for running a variety of sets, land and water sets.  Even a 2 dozen set trapline is a BUNCH of work!  I don't know how many sets Marty runs, but I bet he could tell us of the HOURS and HOURS or prep work, making the sets, checking the sets, re-making the sets and then taking care of the pelts.  It's a boatload of work.  I really miss it!   :'(

I agree 100% as it is alot of work to keep sets working all the time. But when you truely enjoy it there is nothing better 8)
