That's one bad looking Weapon! We used to do that in Eastern Wa it's SOOOO much fun watching them explode and do cartwheels! :chuckle:
-
that is sweeeeeet
-
That is way fun. IT seems I've traded the big chucks for these little sage rats though. Still fun to shoot though, just not as big of a blood smear.
-
Here's a couple... though mine are a little more graphic. 6mm Rem. + 75 grain V-Max = some pretty sloppy chucks. By the way... how old is your boy in that picture? I have one that's a little over 9 months now, and I can't wait to get him out shooting some 'chucks and coyotes.

so how did they taste? :puke:
-
I hit one last year with a 3 1/2 Tungsten Iron goose load at about 30 yards with a full choke. He was laying on a big WHITE rock. It was a little more graphic than usual.

Thats pert near disgusting Longtat. I couldn't imagine it, but then again, whats in a hotdog.
Here is longtat at the groundchuck dinner table. (https://hunting-washington.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fbestsmileys.com%2Feating1%2F20.gif&hash=023b1a599ba8e5c811d442de402f0d4db1dfc9da)
I have those little rat *censored*s all over my place. I used to use the 10-22 on them alot. Now I have converged over tot he 410. You'd be happy with one of my techniques last year with a 30 shot clip. I stuck a garden hose into one of their dens. As it filled with water, over 20 of them came out the other end. They'd always stop to take a looksie and I would snipe them off. I had 20 carcasses there when all said and done. :mgun:

Nice Bone, I think that eating smiley was custom made for LongTat... :chuckle:
-
thats cool

Long. I have an M4 bushmaster like yours does the scope just mount on top of carry with a rail? Great pics my boys would love to take the M4 out and get some of those. Are those chucks the same as they have over in Yakima
-
ruger m77 tang saftey 220 swift. this is my song dog rifle. back in arkansas, it pulled double duty as a yote-deer rifle. i learned to shoot a scoped rifle on it. hope some day i call in a big cat. i have total confidence that this thing would take all the fight out of a cat, given the right bullets.
its a pig to carry. the scope is an old redfield 6x18. it has had close to two thousand rounds thru it, and it is starting to wander a little bit, its still a sure shooting rifle. one time, from a bench, at 200 yards, put 14 shots into a group of exactly 3 inches.

So how did the rats eat? :bdid: :puke:

you like turtle? back in ar, we would catch those soft shell ones and cook them up in soup or a stew. its awfully good if'n you ask me. ive eaten coon a few times. no good for frying, but great for baking or grilled or barbequed
-
gnarly dude!! you should try coyote!
-
Looks tasty man...thanks for the post.. ;)
-
I live by a pretty strict code of shooting stuff that damages things I actually like to eat... ie:
Coyotes eat the following: upland birds, deer, elk, water fowl, etc... therefore, the coyotes get shot.
Chucks eat: corn, wheat, barley, etc... therefore, they're subject to the same penalties as the coyote. Besides, crows gotta eat too.
-
you southern guys will eat anything wont you.
-
:EAT:
-
I've heard of quite a few people eating them.
A true survivor, willing to at least try 'em. You won't starve LTL, and the cookin' looks good! :IBCOOL:
-
You've got spirit Longtat.
How about Starlings. I shot about a dozen of them yesterday, but I refused to fillet out their breasts.
-
You ever eat any of the squirrels we got around here tat? I bet they dont taste like the ones in the south.

The entire story told by smiley faces

Should have fed them to your dog instead. Don't look so tastey but I know people that eat stranger critters. Not that it means much but it is entertaining. Can't wait for the prairie dog shoot. We should have a mass gravesite by high noon in Montana on saturday. They're all up to no good so they must go. Good target practice too. Much more fun that shooting paper targets. The kind of repetitive shooting that seeds good instinct.

Great pics!!!
