Congrats Tony!
Ok- Tony got it done in Washington on Tuesday. I was not there but I heard it was an amazing hunt. Tony was able to watch this buck for over an hour before putting the smack down on him. My brother tells me they have some great video of this monster being harvested. I am extremely busy this week, but my phone has been ringing off the hook. I thought I would at least get you a picture now and the story later.
This buck is a 6X4 that is going to go over the 200” mark. He is 31.5” wide and has 13 score able points on the base. You cannot tell from the picture but he is 7.75” inches at the base. What an amazing animal for Washington. I mean anywhere! Way to go and thanks for letting us share the photo Tony
I will post some more pictures and a video clip on my website next week when I have some more time. Wildfocus.biz (http://Wildfocus.biz)

-
Nice spread on that thing.
-
good job Tony on a great buck! Just to be able to hunt that long and the experiences and stories to tell and dream on for years to come.Congrats
-
-
wow He's a stud . love the mass .
-
Congrats on a great buck. He looks familiar.
-
Wow, nice buck!!
-
Wel at least I got to find his last set :) Good job and a great buck, looks like he lost a few main points but gained some trash and mass
-
Awesome. The gov's eastside deer tag in 2009 went for $7,500. How much for this year? That's a bargain!
-
Why is it that when I find a big set of sheds he gets killed the next year? Maybe some day I will get drawn be able to harvest a buck that I have sheds from instead of giving the sheds away! :)
-

Probably because you find so many damn sheds!
-
I dont see 200+
-
very deceiving buck ( deceiving not 2 sure how to spell it) If you had them in your hands you would know, the sheds weighed in at 12 pounds.
-
Thats just insane :o :o :o Good for Tony! Hope pathfinder don't look while he's at work :chuckle:
-
Wow! :yike:
-
WOW!
-
Dandy buck.
-
That is a great buck, congrats to the hunter!
-
very impressive. Lots of character
-
wow.... thats a dandy for sure
-
That is some impressive mass on the base.
-

I'm sure you could sell the collection and buy the tag :)
but honestly, which would you rather have.
-
Awesome buck that dreams are made of. Congrats to the hunter!
love all the mass and junk...
-
Nice buck. 200''??? :dunno:
-
Pretty sure its the same buck. I saw a photo elsewhere (couldn't get on here at work) and immediately thought of these sheds. I also wonder about 207, but I know I was secieved by Ducks sheds, so why not the buck. Awesome trophy. Sorry he beat you to him wastick. I knew he was on your agenda for this weekend.
-
Holy Mack...he is a PIG...the mass and the stickers around the base and guards are what dreams are made of!! Awesome!
-
If I was antlerking, I would be on the phone right now, trying to sell those sheds to finance some more hunting trips.
That is an ugly old heavy mule deer. I love those.
-
Same buck...guaranteed...look at the horns...look at the bases... too distinctive. He lost some length on his right antler points is all, but they all look to be there...
-
Thats one set of sheds I wouldn't sell. I'd have them buried with me.
-
Are there strippers in Entiat? If I shoot one like that then I'm hiring every one of them in town...... :bdid:
Congrats Tony and crew! I appreciate your insight and help along the way. I know you guys had a great ride.
-
gawd.... those bucks just dont come along very often....certainly not in Washington...DANG! I wonder how many of that caliber are roaming that steep, rocky, nasty SOB of a mountain range!
King...when you say 7 1/2 inches, you mean around the burr or an actual H1?

That picture is SICK... that deer had problems!!!
-
Thanks for posting, Congrats on a great buck and cant wait to see the video. But posting a score of 200 plus. I must be going blind or am not smoking the right stuff. even with counting the points on the base. I think when that buck is scored offically if ever it may be a different story. A tremendous buck and one heck of a trophy for the wall. But 200 inches plus .............. :dunno:
-
say 47 mass
25 mains...50
25 inside
Thats 122
That leaves 85 inches for points........................
-
I dont see 200+
X2 he is big but doesn't have anywhere near the frame of a 200"buck
-
say 47 mass
25 mains...50
25 inside
Thats 122
That leaves 85 inches for points........................
add 15" for ttrashy bases.........
-
probably 12, 12, 12 , 12, 6, 3.....57
trash on bases plus eyegurards......16
ooops forgot a point 5 200
-
Bigger than I thought at first glance. Wouldn't have mattered. One of the best gov bucks I've seen taken EVER
-
Thats the spirit.
-
Using only a 24" spread credit for the sheds we came up with 203" total gross. I beleive now that I have seen him alive, I think 24" was a little understatement.
-
I gave him 25 as thats what I figured his mains were and I figured that was the max on his inside credit
-
Extremely awesome buck, Congrats to him.. that is a wall hanger for sure... :brew:
-
That is a great buck, glad he had the patience to wait out the 175" bucks for a chance at that monster! A big congrats to Tony!
-
Beautiful animal.
Lots of character.
Love the battle scars on his face.
Congrats!!!!! :)
-
Fantastic animal! Thanks for sharing; certainly a deer of a lifetime!
-
Awesome. The gov's eastside deer tag in 2009 went for $7,500. How much for this year? That's a bargain!
$7,500 was the whitetail auction tag, not muley. Muley tag has went over $10K for a while now,
-
What a dandy, old buck! Very cool to see the old sheds from him to. Congrats to the hunter!
-
Congrats

Whats interesting is that the WDFW site lists the 2009 eastside deer tag sold for $7500.00. In 2008 it went for $14,000.00.
They don't list a whitetail tag but I'm pretty sure you're right on the price.

OK-- I am gonna show my ignorance here since I haven't hunted mulies. When you all talk about them migrating, where are they coming from??
Not canada I'm assuming, but the high country? And if so, how come these beasts aren't taken during high buck season????????? Or are they even seen?
Just wondering why December seems to be the Magic time. If you want them earlier in the season, just go higher it would seem to me!
-
Great buck Tony! Cant wait to see the video.

Out of the high country onto the winter range.

I don't care what he scores, I would have given him another year or so, NOT. Wow what a buck!!! Congrats to the hunter :kneel:
-
Congrats Tony for killing Mr. Mass! I was hoping to find his sheds before Antlerking in a few weeks! :chuckle:
-
Awesome gov. buck! didn't the same guy have it last year and shot a 191"? :dunno:Think I met his brother during late archery season in Swakane. could be wrong though.
-
good looking buck. Thats a wall hanger no matter how you score it.
-
Great buck Tony, thats a no brainer. May not have the giant frame but those bases are un friggin real. Congrats on a stud buck. He will look great on the wall.
-
F'ing giant. Congratulations. I wonder how it feels to damn near kill 400" of horn between two bucks in two years. And just curious, what is this guy's profession? I obviously made the wrong choice becoming a teacher.
-
Score, Smore who care's that is one great buck. He is one of a kind and any true Mule Deer hunter would be more than proud to have harvested such a giant. It must have been bunches of fun seeing all those awesome bucks over the last few weeks with a tag in your pocket. Congrats on the one that got the tag out of your pocket. Just Awesome :yike:
-
Wow, I love trashy women and Bucks. Those bases are unreal. :yike: :yike:
-
PIG, HUGE mass
-
A nice looking buck. I would just like to see one that sized in the wild.
-
woooooooooooow that is one big a$$ old buck. Outstanding job Tony and crew way to get it done.

Ok..."boneaddict" and "antlerking">>>you guys are amazing in how you can break an animal down. I feel i can usually get within a couple inches when i look at an animal and you are right on. This buck is very deceiving because he is not a typical buck. I know he is going to gross between 205"-208".
BTW...I have not met you yet but hope I run into you next week when i am in the area. Talk to you soon:)
-
2,005" Erdmann, you are waaay off! :chuckle:
-
Hey Erdmann, when is the next video coming out?
-

-
2,005" Erdmann, you are waaay off! :chuckle:
Thanks...change it:)
-
Hey Erdmann, when is the next video coming out?
Not sure! We have some great stuff this year but maybe not enought for new DVD. Handful of bucks in the 150"-168"; Aarons world record ram; 2 cougars; 2 good archery elk kills; 2 archery buck; Derek's daughter killing first 4x4; antelope; and now Tony's buck...oh ya good goat in WA as well. I could have sealed the deal in Idaho, but missed a monster. I suck...and can admit it. We may just have to have a movie night in someones barn because I will not produce DVD unless it is worth purchasing.
Really feel like we need one or two more Big Bucks for a complete DVD. As you know the last one was 2 hours. That is why they call it hunting.
-
Just got done watching last years vid. again awesome. I love the reality of it. You did good. And the part where you 3 brothers got together awesome. thats what its about. My brother, me and my son will be hunting in our spot around stanley Id. next year. havent seen him in about 5 years. it will be cool just like yours. I grew up in wenatchee. Go back there to hunt every year. love the country.
-
What a great buck. Thanks for posting it. Congrats to the hunter and money well spent :twocents:.
-
Nice rack

FWIW, I thought it might be him as soon as I saw the first pic.
-
Man thats a nice buck Tony........Did not relize you had that tag too........
-
i just dont see 200
-
i just don't see 200
Its there. Like everyone has said, this buck is not your average buck. I have held the sheds several times, everytime I shake my head in amazement. Cool buck.
-
Can ya post up his goat pics? didn't he have one of the elk tags also?
-
It appears the sheds are bigger than he is this year... what did the sheds gross? I know I've probably missed it somewhere...
Dam...that is the a great buck!!!!! :IBCOOL:
-
SWEET.
-
Way to go! Buck of a lifetime for sure. It's nice to see a old bruser holding width with all that mass. Who gets the honor of the mount? Love to see that ol' pig in person.

Congrats Tony on harvesting a fine animal. 47" of mass is insane. This buck is truely a monster. Hey duck, you getting any pressure to hand over the sheds? :chuckle:

Isn't it a tradition for the person with the sheds of a buck present them to the person that shoots the buck?? :P
