DAMM! Drinks are on him. Thats what we hunt blackies for.....awesome buck man.

this is not the buck he was after we had a 175-180 5x5 that we were also after but always came up short. Shotguns dont reach like rifles.

Right on Charlie, awesome bucks. Few things get me wound up like a big blacktail buck.
BC Chaser, why you shootin a shotgun? Just curious.

Dare ya to say that about the bruisers in Hawkes Prairie back in the day. Shotgun only, but definitely not tame.
-
rifle restricted is why. If these bucks were tame then we would have to re-write the record books.
-
Awesome blacktail bucks, that last one is a hawg!
-
Thanks for the compliments! That droptine buck is cool.
-
Very nice Buck BC.
-
Big bucks in your neck of the woods.Nice work Lucky, keep it up :)
-
Incredible dropper, he is a hog.
-
Nice BL, now let's see pics of the head mounts of them monsters!
-
This is my widest (21") BT I ever arrowed. He only scores 113 with all the trash and uneveness he got hammerd. Notice his base on his rt side is 3x as big as his lt side. He actually had another main beam with 4 more points coming off the inside that got busted of when he was polishing. I ll find picture of him live with it and add.
-
Nice work. Not many people have a collection of blacktails like that.
-
Here he is breathing sorry for the turned photo and the live shot is a pic of a pic.
-
Great bucks.
My best ghost from last year.
-
Nice buck he looks like he was rutting hard.
-
Nice BT! :chuckle: How much did he weigh Dman

Nice buck he looks like he was rutting hard.
A little actually before the primary rut, he had a small cut on one ear , I'm thinking the other buck looked worse :chuckle: :chuckle:

Great buck Dman....got him mounted?

This 4pt on the right was a decent HP buck. Not as big as some of the monsters, but still a shooter.

I really like that buck on the left , the regress buck. What is he about 14 wide?
-
More like 12 or 13 I think.
-
Saw a buck just like the one on the right out in Hawks Prarie this year standing under an apple tree mid-day. There are still some good bucks out there, just to many people.
-
A funny story when I was doing a wetland mitigation project out there in HP a while back, there was a large field area next to a good sized warehouse that had surveillance around it by the wetland. The business owner paying for the mitigation project told me about catching a guy shooting from inside his van at a 5 point buck just before dark, the guy then parked and tried to find the buck by flashlight and couldn't find it, then left the area, by then security had called the gameys, they found the guy down the street at McDonalds having an sandwhich :chuckle: :chuckle: at which point they told him never to trespass on that property again and wrote him a citation. Amazingly, the gameys went back to find the buck in the AM, only to find the guy there crawling around in the brush looking for it again!!! :o
He was "escorted" away the second time, apparently is was a real trophy buck.
-
Hope he never hunted again after that. I dont know how strict the GD is. My cousin caught a guy who shot a cow in a 3pt area the gamey took the animal and let the dude go. He tried several times to get his 10 points. He finally called their hq and the gal said it was never reported to them. I wonder how many other things never get reported.

I saw on the hunting show one day how you can shoot a shotgun slug 150 to 200 yds. must of my animals that Ive killed have been under 100 yds with a rifle. So I guest I should buy a shotgun and I can save myself 50 to 100 yds of sneaking upon my targets >:( >:( >:(
-
You guys killing these in the late season, November? Great pics, hope you guys took them to the taxidermist. ;)
-
Which ones you talking about?
-
Just in general, not really talking about one deer. I've been thinking of going over for the late rifle season this year for a blacktail. I have multiple nice whitetail and a few nice mule deer on the wall, but I've never shot a nice blacktail. Actually I have never shot a blacktail. I went over two years ago for 4 days, bow hunting over Thanksgiving and had the opportunity on 13 different bucks but they where all forks and spikes, one SMALL 2x3. I passed on all of them hoping for a 4pt. I want to get it mounted for my trophy room. That same year I came back and hunted around my house and took a 5x5 whitetail the 13th of Dec. IT doesn't close until the 15th around here.
-
I was going to say, all my bucks are mounted or waiting to get mountes beings I am a Taxidermist ;).
-
lott of nice blacktails!!!!!!!!!!!
