Title: New Boots
Post by: washelkhntr on January 18, 2011, 09:03:02 PM: Well, it was time to cash in on the Cabela's Gift Card's that I received for Christmas. I have been looking at the Alaska Hunter Boots by Meindl for quite some time, and well, I finally got me some.

Hopefully it was a purchase I won't end up regretting in the future.

Post by: singleshot12 on January 18, 2011, 09:48:27 PM: I think cabelas will not refund or exchange after 90 days now, so start wearing them now every day to make sure there are no flaws. Also keep them well coated with some good boot dressing.

Post by: lj77 on January 28, 2011, 07:05:17 PM: they are great boots.make sure and oil them at least a couple times to reduce squeaking. mine got surprisingly loud but after oiling 2xs they rock. i used obenhuafs after being warmed up a bit.really helped

Post by: halflife65 on January 29, 2011, 09:15:50 PM: Meindels are the most comfortable boot that I've worn. Grease them well - a few people haven't been able to get rid of the squeek, unfortunately, but I haven't had a problem after I greased them.
