Bought a new Mod. 700 SPS Buckmaster 30-06 today. I also got a new Nikon Buckmaster 3x9x40 scope to boot. Not a bad price either, got 25% off the package.
Went to the Lynnwood G.I Joes top buy this rifle. I filled out the paperwork, picked out the bases, rings, and scope only to be told the rifle had been mislabeled. The box and gun said .243, and the tag said 30-06. What a waste of time. But I got lucky and there was one at the Northgate store. Redid the paper work and such, now I'm the proud owner of a new Mod 700.

:yike: That is the same exact set up I have been looking at getting. Except I was going to get the scope in camo. I just can't decide if I want the 30-06 or the 270. Let me know how the set up shoots!

Will do. I cant wait

Very nice!
I have to say that Lynnwood Joe’s has got to be the worst run sports store that I have ever seen. I’m glad you got what you wanted.
-
Yeah, Northgate isn't any better.
The only good thing about the stupidity at those 2 stores is that the price tag on most of the packs and hunting garments is usually higher than the price it rings up at. I cant count the times Ive payed less than the advertised or marked price.

that is a great looking piece. great choice.
-
Nice looking set up, looks like it will do a fine job of knocking down some critters.
-
Does that mean you can't shoot a Bull? (Buckmaster)...............lol just kidding. Nice set-up!!! ;)

Care to elaborate more on the "stupidity"? That signage issue comes from corporate. Not the store level.

Ive got no gripe with the tags, Im just saying the computer almost always says something different. Usually in the customers favor.
Isn't it up to the employees/managment to make sure things match up. Id throw a fit if that was happening in my shop.
Just my 2 cents
-
By things matching up, you mean the tag matching the gun or the price tags matching the register? It all depends on if you are looking at MSRP's on certain items or if you are looking at Joe's retail prices.
-
Great lookin gun....now go get it bloody :chuckle:
.... If you load it they will come....
-
Nice looking rig ;D Let us know how she shoots. I like the Lk. Stevens Joes. They seem to have their crap pretty much together there but then again, it's only my experience. Could be different for others.
-
Antlershed you work at Joes or something. To answer your question, both.
Anyway Im gonna shoot this beauty this weekend.

There are a couple of us on here that work at Joe's. And the pricing/repricing of the entire store is left up to just a couple of people.
Not trying to sound too defensive, and not trying to say the store is perfect (I know there are issues).

Nice looking gun. Now its time to put it to work
