Title: Who owns a TIKKA T3 LIKES / DISLIKES?
Post by: HEADSHOT on January 22, 2011, 02:52:53 PM: I just got a T3 300 WIN MAG, Cant wait to put my Leupold 4.5 X 14 VXIII ON TOP!!! Anyone else got one of the rifles?

Check Kesselrings out, they got a great deal on some leftover lefties that they are putting on sale. Have no idea the price they are going to ask.

I have the .300 WSM and so far LOVE IT!

Post by: hookr88 on January 22, 2011, 05:30:08 PM: Sorry, should have added to the above reply that I bought my son one in 7mm-08 and he loves it. I liked the clip because for a new or inexperienced shooter it is easier and safer to load/ unload while hunting.

Customer service is a little crappy now days and sometimes the mags are spendy. But you can find good deals from time to time. But the guns are what count, and they are great.

Post by: nontypical176 on January 22, 2011, 11:17:21 PM: tika t3 300 WSM. Nice and lite, recoil is good, accuracy good, and has handled the pacific NW rain better than some of my other guns. Dislikes....the safety even though I like that style, similar to the remengton model 700, just not as good and the clips rattle with bullets in them....kinda annoying.

Post by: bowman on January 23, 2011, 12:31:30 AM: Does anyone have the Tikka T3 "superlite"? If so how do you like it? I've been reading about it and it's the same as the T3 Lite with a fluted barrel. Only Cabelas and Sportsman's Warehouse are supposed to have them. :)

Post by: Shed Stud on January 23, 2011, 08:43:23 AM: My Tika 300 wsm is an awesome gun, shoots real flat. I have a great 3 inch group a 300 yds with some 165 gr. nosler partions. I would buy another. I did have to upgrade my scope mounts as the recoil cracked the front one, I think those were nikons (cheap):dunno: I guess thats a common problem, the 60 $ leapold mounts seem to work just fine.

Post by: ribka on January 23, 2011, 09:27:19 AM: I have a few T3's in SS lite. Love the gun and think best overall firearm ( weight, accuracy, trigger, etc) for less than $1000. In the heavier calibers replace the rings as mentioned with Talley lw, warne or deadnutz :twocents:

I think the rings that come with the T3 work fine for the .25 caliber models and below :twocents:

Great buy, I think the best deal out there 5-600 for a very light accurate rifle.

Im still out about two months on the final project. Anyone interested. Probably sell the early takers for around $50 each. Custom mags for custom rounds.

This is a great idea.
Guys have resorted to milling a groove down the front of the mag to gain some clearance for COAL.
I'm curious to see the finished product or a prototype.
