which of the duck commander calls are good to buy im just getting into calling and i hear that they are good calls

Spend the money once and get a good call. I finally took that advice this year and got a zinc powerhen, the best call I have heard.
-
I got an Illinois River DD-120 for Christmas and I love it.
-
^^^^ ya I have a DD-120 also and it works GREAT.

I have a hunter specialties loudmouth and it is an excellent call! built like those expensive rich n tone's and zinks but half the price!
-
Not sure where you heard duck commander was good. Spend a little money is right and you can find one much better then DC.

Haydels Red Leg for $29.99. Can't beat it for the price.

There are better calls for sure, I have zink and Foiles which I really like but the DC Ole Raspy for a inexpensive call works great. The Foiles dead meat mallard is probably my favorite.

I still have some DC calls, but I also have a bag full of customs. Mostly acrylic, which I prefer. Though the DC drake mallard call is a killer late season, hum in to it. Works great. I still have friends that kill plenty of ducks of DC calls, for the price they sound great, and their high end calls are awesome.

what would be a good single reed call to get also
-
Haydel DR-85, feet down every time.

:yeah:
for a cheap call ive been using the DC brown sugar... its a quieter call but seems to do ok for about an hour if its raining about 2 hours if its not. the "reeds" stick together with heavy usage... and sound like crap after about half way thru the day. they are cheaply made... good value for your $. i tried using calls under 40$ all season.... im done playing that game. save up. ive finally seen the light

Are the best

I have killed a gozillion duck's using a Duck Commander. Its the person behind the call that makes the difference. Ducks have different voice tones and pitches like humans. I grew up on Moses Lake and would spend a lot of time by the water listening to duck sounds. That helped me call birds a lot. I would have confidence in just about any call (with in reason) to lure in birds. Most everyone blows way to much when working birds over decoys. Duck Commander calls are just fine, learn how to use it, and you will be happy.
