I need to get outta the city...and by god I'm doing it this weekend. I am going to the hills southeast a bit of Ellensburg to check on my elk archery area (I think it got logged a bit last year) and do some scouting...basically, just get out. Anyone know of any good shed hunting areas around there? Also, I know there is a bear in a specific spot..>I want to go check on him and see how he is coming along. Pics to follow hopefully.
Cheers,
Saylean
Oops...probably should have put this under Shed Hunts...sorry. ;)

Check out yesterday's find. ;) There is good color (pic is deceiving, still deep brown), as these appear to be recent sheds. No mice bite marks, and all that. The bear I checked up on has come along nicely. No pics as my camera sucks and the bear was too far...but maybe later this year I can show you the pic of me after I shoot it.

Nice. I am going to have to get into shed hunting. I think I could become addicted pretty easy. Plus I could always use the exercise. Can't realy get out to much in Florida and just walk around. To many Rattle Snakes, and other poisones snakes about.

That's great! My heart would be beating hard if I saw those tines sticking up. It's a good and satisfying feeling when a guy says he's going shed hunting and finds one. Especially around Ellensburg and in June!

Ya, I was STOKED~! I really never have done it before, but I was out scouting, so I figured, what the heck...This is the biggest I have ever found. I have found some nice muley racks while in Twisp years ago, but nothing like this. ;)
