Title: How to eliminate static electricity while reloading?
Post by: elkinrutdrivemenuts on February 01, 2011, 04:54:55 PM: Anyone got any suggestions? I am tired of powder sticking in my measure. I have tried dryer sheets to wipe everything down, but its not working like I had hoped. If I can't get rid of it, what can you use to clean all the powder out of the measure?

Maybe it's the plastic scoop and pan I use on the scale :dunno:

Post by: 75johndeere on February 01, 2011, 05:14:26 PM: is it a new powder measure i noticed the first dozen or some times that i used mine that the powder stuck to the sides took forever to clean but the more i used it the better it got i just figured it was just some residual oils from the manufacturing process

About every new powder thrower does this.

Just fill the thrower with some larger stick powder, throw it back in the jug. Five minutes of throwing charges back in the can and problem fixed.

Post by: gadwall on February 01, 2011, 10:24:48 PM: The graphite trick works well. It also helps to ground the device. I do that with my shotshell reloaders to help with powder flow through the drop tube.
