what really matters here is- WHERE ARE THE PICSI knew that was comming. I was busy working outside and the daughters goats where freaking out in the pen, reconized the distressed call from them and went to go see what was up. Well I was not expecting a bobcat in the pen, had some yotes on the island in the river before, but had some sign of cats around lately( night time encounters mainly). So I took a look around and spotted him exiting stage left after he saw me, well I caught him doing the same escape a yote did on me from the same area (must be a animal instinct to exit that way) and the .17 hmr does nice on work on a bobie. Now I am just trying to figure out wood for my mount and who is going to do it, my regular taxi is quite expensive for full bobie mounts. Long story short no pics, will post when mounted. With that said, I am 6'4 and when I held the back paws to my chest the front paws drug the ground, he weighed 18.6 pounds. My friend said he was a big male, he has seen and skinned some before.

any time I needed a hide sealed they came to me.Thats good news, don't want to drive to Millcreek.

Both, depends on whats going on. I know a few guys that have taken them to the taxi. Then the warden just stops by out there. Others have had to take the cats and meet them. Then a few guys have just had them come out to there house.Thats cool just dont want to go down to millcreek.

Im sure its a 30-32 if it was on the carcass.When it was still in the round fresh the back paws went from upper chest to the ground with front paws (Iam 6'4").

Its a 18 pound cat ? Thats a average size cat and would have a body length of 30-32, thats tip of nose to base of tail not paw to paw. If your saying it was 40 inches from tip of nose to base of tail your scale sucked bad ad should have read 40 pounds :chuckle:What ever dude, my scale sucked, the white bath towel doesn't measure 48", and my tape was custom made to read 40.5 " for 30" bobcats. Just maybe he is not an average bobcat! :hello: And you are a taxidermist.

Actually he has shrunk since he was tanned, about 5". How long have you been a taxidermist?
13 years . Weighed and skinned a ton of Bobcats.

i will say though it does appear to be a real pretty cat.. congrats.. how many have you killed?That was my first shot bobcat, have seen a ton of them! :chuckle:
