As my wife and I were driving up the Highway 20 along side the Skagit River yesterday on a Photo taking expedition I spotted this section of water and I just had to pull over and capture it's beauty. :)

The little channel is only about 20 feet wide on the North side of a huge gravel bar, but man alive is it ever ripping! I thought it was pretty neat how the water was so clear, but had the whitish section in it. :)

Is that just above Rockport?

You Nailed it! :) I can tell you've driven that stretch of road a time or two. :)

I grew up in Concrete. We fished that river hard from just above Concrete to almost Marblemount at one point or another. My parents still live across the river from Sauk Store Rd.

Dick, if you had multiple shots of that stretch, it might make a nice HDR shot.
