Well it's that time a year to make my annual fishing trip to the clearwater for a week will be leaving tomorrow and catching big fish by Thursday ;) been getting good reports on lots of fish  even a few monsters being hooked, Report to follow next week.

I've heard some really good reports coming from down there recently. Go get them and take plenty of pics. Awesome place.

Just got back, fished three days.  first day was extremely cold. but caught over 20 steelhead. all in the 12-14 lb range!!!!! one fish was 16-18 lbs. next day the upper river around Kooskie was spitting lots of ice. but we still fished. very comical. still boated 3 fish.  third day we thought the river would be better still spitting ice water had cooled again so steelhead were acting like steelhead. still boated 5 fish.  First day was drifting eggs from a jet boat the last two were in the upper river in a driftboat with diver and bait.  Great time, love that river!!!! Well I'm sitting at work missing all the fun we had on the river :'( Thursday the four of us caught 18- 20 fish with 8 of them being keeper. Friday started slow but picked up with us still catching around 15 fish but only 4 keepers :'( Saturday the weather was nice and the river was packed so we pretty much just drank beer and had a nice relaxing day.

Nothing over the 14-15 pound range this trip.
I didn't know there were keepers in the clearwater :p

as crazy as it may sound i'd love to catch one of them colored up fish like that, i love that deep red and green colors on them. i dont know why but the fish dont get like that on any of the rivers i fish here in wa, granted we do get the chromers with sea lice still on them ;)
