Title: savage axis
Post by: 7mm ed on February 13, 2011, 08:15:00 PM: got the new savage axis today from cabelas took it out and shot pretty good the actions reel smooth had to do a little scope adjusting , did three shots and a hit with in a dime at 100 yards , cant beat the set up for the price all in all i think savage has a winner in my book, the scopes arnt to bad the clip did feed the shell with out any problems .

It has an EGW one-piece base and Federal Intensity 4-12x44 scope. Put it together as a back-up rifle for deer camp. If it shoots as good as I hope, it will get a lot of use.
