Title: new benelli vinci 3.5"
Post by: boots on February 16, 2011, 07:23:04 PM
Is anyone looking into getting the new benelli super vinci for next season? Pretty steep price tag but it looks like they finally upgraded the Vinci from just a 3" gun

My son just bought 1 this season.
It is pretty light weight and handles pretty well.
He still can't hit **it :chuckle:, but it looks pretty.

I heard last year that it was coming out.  I wonder how it compares with there SBEII?

maybe....  depends on how it feels in my hands.  The SBE II was awful in my hands, and had a tendency to chew up my cheek because I rested my cheek where the comfort-tech met synthetic

If you can't bring 'em down with a 3", another 1/2" isn't going to help. ;)

It seems to me that they have created new models to compete with their existing models.
I feel like the Vinci competes directly with the M2, and now the Super Vinci will compete directly with the SBEII.

They seem pretty similiar to me except probably shoulder and swing different

An extra half inch always comes in handy.

I haven't held that particular model but with other Benelli's I shot in the past i never liked how thick the pump grip itself was.. I have pretty big hands but it always felt like i was really stretching my fingers to keep a comfortable hold on it.. that being said, I've dropped plenty of birds with a Benelli and 3.5" shells really seem to help with longer shots..  :twocents:
