Ya, 10 hours is a long time and I wish I could do different but until she gets older and it gets warmer outside, she has to stay in there while I am gone to work.well,no problem with them being in there,but they just gotta do it...Ive left mine in there for a few days and she damn near stacks her poop,always as far from the igloo as she can get in a 10x10

Then I would say you're gonna have to live with cleaning up the poop.

I am not taking it the wrong way at all. Just wasn't sure if someone had something they did. I wish that she would deuce when I let her out in the morning before I leave. I put her out for about a half hour while I am eating breakfast and showering. Why can't she do it then and then go again if she has to when I get home? haha

If not, try and feed her earlier in the morning that way she can work that food out before she goes in her
kennell. Not much else you can do.

My dog normaly sleeps in his crate in the house.. He Blew mud allover in it the other night... I'll trade your cleanup for mine!
Haha no thanks but thanks for the offer. That is one thing I have been lucky about so far is they have been solid logs so the clean up is pretty easy. Only thing worse then when a dog has the splatters is baby poop. That could be the most revolting smell out there! :puke:

If she has a 5' x 10' run, why shouldn't she poop in it? put some cedar down and clean up once a day? no big deal. That's a long day without a pooh. I can't go that long.
Try feeding her dinner a little earlier. If you feed morning and night, feed a little more at night and less in the morning. She might get on schedule again.
Just my first thought. Mine hold it often but, I don't expect them to not go all day if they need to go.

The kennel is in my garage so I smells if it sits in there while I am gone to work. I have thought about the feeding schedule idea but she is such a picky, dainty eater that she doesn't really have a routine. I even tried the put the food down for a few minutes and then take it away if she doesn't eat it and it didn't phase her.

I clean poop out of his kennel maybe one time every 2 weeks, and no it's not stacked to the ceiling, maybe a shovel full in that amount of time. He gets out of the kennel and screws around for a few minutes then ehads out back. He just likes pooping out back and avoids even pooping in the actual mowed area of the yard. Just got lucky I guess. One thing I could recommend for your problem is playing fetch with your dog for 10 minutes before heading to work in the morning. That always seems to work one outta my dog for sure.
That is funny because my folks choco lab is the same way. I don't think I can remember the last time she crapped in her kennel and she has been in there for 12 hours straight before. She is the same way in that she likes to go out back into the woods or pasture to do her busn.

Our two year old lab is that way as well. He will hardley ever poo in the kennel and will not poo in any mowed area unless it is covered by snow. We trained him to "potty" almost on command as it seems to pay off on long rides in the car. Now when we let him out at night before bed we say potty and he does his thing. Works great. Sounds like getting up a bit earlier and a bit of fetch would help out. Changing the feeding times would be a good idea as well, if you feed her a certain amount perhaps feeding her during the day would allow her time to eat as well as get to business done before bed and then be ready first thing in the morning.
