Title: Scout scope question
Post by: deerbandit on February 21, 2011, 08:01:39 PM: I just got a new Savage Scout 10FCM in .308 and was wondering if there were any opinions or recommendations on a particular scout scope anyone can recommend, and why. Thanks in advance.

Post by: TeacherMan on February 22, 2011, 11:03:35 PM: I have been doing research for my 45-70 guide gun and I'm going to be putting on a 1.5-5x20 or a 1-4x20. Now its just a matter of doing it! I'm leaning toward the 1.5-5x20. Leupold of course, but really is there any other scope made.

Post by: Straight Shooter on February 23, 2011, 10:29:41 AM: You really don't need a dedicated "scout" scope. A long eye-relief scope is what your looking for. I have a Simmons 2.5X handgun scope on my XS-scouted Win 94, .30-30. It works like a champ. :twocents:
