Title: A Kodiak bear hunt
Post by: Skyvalhunter on May 14, 2008, 07:50:11 PM: Ok guys here is what $16,000 might get you on a Kodiak Island Brown Bear hunt. My buddy has been an assistant guide there for over 10 years.
1st picture is a 10'1" squared, 28 1/8" skull
2nd picture is a 9'6" squared, 27 1/4" skull
3rd picture is a 10'4" squared, 29" skull
4th picture is a 10'1" squared, 28" skull

Someday I'll get up there with the stick and string for those brutes, but it's going to need to be someone else footing the bill before I can feel ok with the cost.

It cost him over $20,000 to have a full mount done and shipped over to Japan. Some people have money to burn and figure it's going to eat a hole in their pocket.
