Title: Quiver ?????
Post by: poohdog on February 25, 2011, 10:26:51 AM: I got a Bowtech Destroyer and wanted to know of a good quiver you guys may have or used on a Bowtech.

Post by: mallard79 on February 25, 2011, 04:26:08 PM: I just picked up a Diamond Ultra lite 5 arrow quiver that I put on my Diamond Rock. mounts pretty close to the riser, light weight and no vibration or noise. Nothing to complain about yet..... I was using a 6 arrow quickie quiver and thaught it hung out too far and offset the balance of the bow too much. :twocents: good luck... there are tons of choices out there.

Post by: BULLBLASTER on February 25, 2011, 05:48:22 PM: the best i have used is the tightspot. i dont have a bowtech but they had a destroyer with one at the archery buyer show and it looked good, and real tight to the bow.

I need a quiver for my new bow but I'm hoping to spend about $100 less than that! Maybe I'll have to settle for one that is made in China. :'(

I didn't say they were the cheapest, I said they were the best ;)
Most bow companies quivers (IE- Mathews, Hoyt, PSE) sell their quivers in the same price range, and they have a lot less features. :twocents:

Post by: 840dc on February 25, 2011, 08:42:55 PM: Yeah the prices are pretty crazy, the treelimb I think is over a 100 new but I got it for like 50 bucks, and it is perfect condition. I also picked up a tru ball short and sweet for 35 bucks that was also in perfect condition.

Post by: Annette on February 25, 2011, 09:32:56 PM: make sure the quiver covers the broadhead of your choice. Surprizingly enough some ( Mathews) are to short to cover the blades of my Magnis Stingers. got rid of the quiver, not giving up mt Stingers :dunno:

You must be hard on your quivers. I have a octane bantam quiver on my bowtech general. Very easy to take on and off with no noise, locks in place well, sits real snug to your bow to help with balance just like the tight spot and it can be manuvered around to get the right balance for you. My only complaint about this quiver is that it is really short and you can notice vibration in the quiver and arrows in it when shooting. I just bought a tight spot myself for my Strothers Infinity, so we will see if it lives up to the hype.

Im not just hard on quivers, I abuse all my gear bad! :o
I had the 2 piece octane and it kept breaking where it attached to my riser.
I have beat the crap out of my tight spot on a LOT of hunts this past year and it never let me down in any way.

Post by: mtbiker on February 26, 2011, 10:14:13 AM: I had a Tightspot on the Destroyer I owned. Sold the Destroyer and kept the quiver (btw, nothing wrong with the Destroyer). Anyway, the bow shot exactly the same with or without the quiver. Also, if you want to pull and dump the quiver quick, it's super easy to get off. Basically, one simple motion.

I finally broke down and bought one and dont regret it at all! The only bad thing I can say is the tight spot sticker on them, but that comes off easily. :P
