if you guys know of anyone with a broken small ring (7mm spanish) mauser they may want to toss or get rid of cheap let me know.
i can send my contact info to you to give to them
i just acquired a custom mauser barreled action and reciever in 223 and i would like to build it
-
This will also be my topic for my progress as i round up parts and complete this little rifle into a Vermin shooter.
heres what i have as far as parts. not much needed to get it functional again.
Still debating on what finish i would like to put on it, thinking it would be sweet with a flat black Parkerized finish.
-
I've got one in .308. Not to bad but the first thing you should do no matter what is get a better trigger...right now, go get it right now, it's really that much of an improvement
-
i will most likely get a nicer trigger and throw this one on my 7.65 argentine mauser.
i want a nice 2 to 3-lb pull, but i have to spend my money on a parts rifle before i get a trigger.
-
so, i located two 1891 argentine mausers on gunbroker for under $100 each already sporterized.
Will be heading over to Yakima to pick them up. :IBCOOL:
I will have replacement parts forever! lol!
-
I have a Spanish Civil Guardia 1916 in .308. I bought it for a "scout" project. Took it apart and lost interest. I guess I need to find the parts and put it back it together. :o
-
I think i only paid $50 for my trigger including shipping. I had to modify the stock slightly to get it to fit but well worth the $ spent.

send it to me, i will fix it up for you. i know em inside and out and have excellent repor from fellow members of many of these internet forums.
Or get hold on to it and i will purchase it some day lol!
-
heres the donor rifle i will modify into a 223, picking it up tomorrow in Yakima.
-
One question how are you going to get it to extract or feed, and I quess that this will be a single shot? The .378 head on the 223Rem will be too small for the magezine, bolt face and extractor? Or are you planning a 223 WSSM and open the bolt face?
AWS
-
the 223 bolt face has been welded and machined by a gunsmith to accept the smaller 223 round.
Picked up my donor rifle today but i cant bring myself to modify it any further as its in seally nice shape and all the numbers are matching.
kind of hard to find that in these rifles.
-
sweet, getting the correct year mauser tomorrow to modify! :IBCOOL:
will put it all together, then make it pretty as i can.
After i get back to working again i will buy other things like an adjustable trigger.
Right now i just want to build it and go shooting.
-
Just saw the picture of your doner rifle, I just picket one up yesterday that could easily be the twin. sporterized the same. M 5000 serial range, 1895 I think. Mine is all numbers match, crest is removed. seems like every part has a proofmark of some kind on it.
Keep us posted with pictures of your project!
Jeff
-
well, i cant bring myself to modify the 1891 or my other 1891 or my 1916, i am trading $20 and a remington mod 33 tomorrow for 1916 small ring spanish mauser i will instead modify, its already been sporterized heavily, so its going to be modified even further now lol!
i will core out the buttstock like a ruger 77/22 boat paddle stock and do some kind of finger grooves in the forestock (after i figure out what i want to do there).
heres what i am picking up tomorrow and will start the mods tomorrow night, or atleast tear it into 100 pieces and puts parts i will use into kroil for awhile.
-
I think I recognise that work bench :chuckle:
I love those rem 33's looking forward to meeting you tomorrow.

to alot of people these old war horses suck, but i have an addiction to em.
even rusted ones are fun to blast!
most fun i ever had at the range was with a $100 beater, man next to me with a $3000 rifle and probably that much in spotting gear too. saying what a pile of sheyite my old surplus rifles are, him not hitting the bull once at 100 yards with it all, me, no spotting scope, old 100 year old surplus ammo and open sights nail the target 1-oclock in the black.
Watching him huff and puff, putting his gear away pee-oed was the best time ever.
i cant sleep, too excited to get the rifle and start the transformation to .223, actually really stoked. i wanna go shoot it lol!
-
So tonight i tore the donor rifle apart, put everything in my container. then decided to use the rest of my Kleen Strip spray on finish stripper purchased at Home Depot.
Heres the before photo of the stock, has a textured finish. not really something i like so ultimately. i had to see what was Under it all.
heres what i started with

I took the stock into the bathroom and bathed it good with warm water and dish soap. Let it sit for awhile and looked it over.
The bondo was bugging me so out came the carving & inlay tools.
Dont have a clue what the person with the bondo can was thinkng. the stock is a keeper. i wont be needing a new one anytime too soon, only a couple defects under the paint and body filler.

I have a feeling this will be a very nice looking rifle when completed. I hope i do it all right and it shoots good also.
now to find me a steel buttplate to mount on the rear of the stock like it used to have. No more bondo for this old log.
I am actually really excited that the wood is in great shape! its a big surprize lol! I thought it would have been a butchered battle stock but i dont think thats the case here, this one was professionally sporterized at one time. now it will be touched by my magic, hope i do it justice.
-
I might have a steel butt plate. I'm gone for a few days but when I get home I'll check. Is it the kind that wraps around over the top of the stock. With a mounting screw on top?
-
Cool tutorial----Thanks for sharing.
Gets me motivated to do one of my own. A hand-me-down 8x57, already semi-sporterized, but could use some stock work.
-
lazydrifter, yes, its supposed to have a wrap around screw on top plate on it. thanks for looking! an 1891, 1893 spanish plate or 1916 will work that i know of, not sure on any others
quadfire, they are alot of fun to work on, knowing a ifle that you made your own and making them all purty is awsome.
-
like this one.
-
Are you gonna glas bed it?
-
Are you gonna glas bed it?
probably only the reciever, the barrel will be fitting just inside the stock tightly but free floated the complete length with a business card gap the entire length from the face of the reciever out.
-
Nice
send pics of that step also if you would ;)
-
someone in the past sanded down the left side of the butt alot, so the buttplate is alot narrower than its supposed to be, I may have to fabricate a custom one out of something...
Any clues on what would work, needs to withstand impacts from the ground if i drop it though.
I might have to plasti-weld a pice onto the top and mold it into the shape of the tang that goes over the top of the butt.
-
pretty sure i have a spanish 1916 buttplate. if the butt has indeed been narrowed, just narrow the buttplate to match... :dunno:
-
i would very much like to find a correct buttplate, but i have no funds to buy one.
wont for a while either, atleast until i get back to work again.
With the stock tip being weird on this rifle, i went outside to look around for a chunk of my smoker wood (cherry) to place on it and remove the knot with a dowel in it.
while i was out there i noticed the stick my dog used to chew on (Dayzey our 120-lb pitbull) before we had to put her down last week.
I think i am going to do my best to graft that branch in there instead of something else, i just hope i can keep a few of her chew marks in the wood and fill them with verethane then sand the filler flush with the wood as my own personal little tribute in her honor.
I really miss my dayzey.
-
You might consider keeping that forend. Looks like a schnabel style?

Anyone that has a bolt for a 96 mauser, i would really be interested in possibly buying it.

well today i removed the knot, keeping the style tip that was on it and only removed the bad area.
Hard part was matching up the chew toy to the hole i made.

2 ton epoxy time, put that in the dowel hole, and inserted a dowel, then slopped it all over each surface, then the surfaces of the chew toy.
pushed it together and clamped it. stuff sets fast, clamps dont need to be on there longer than 15 minutes.

I will let this sit for a day or so, i should be able to start shaping it tomorrow afternoon, i am keeping the tip as it was, but i wanted to put that chew stick on the rifle somehow.
I may use more of it to cover the epoxy square holes on the side of the stock as well. just have to think up a plan on how.
I also made a template for the butt plate with cardboard.
I might make a cherrywood buttplate for this.
-
I found that butt plate. PM me your address and I'll get this out in the next couple of days.

i did a little shaping and inletting of the action and barrel today.
I dont know if i am going to like how the barrel fits the channel in the stock, its awfully uneven from the last person that worked on this.
I might have to so some more laminating of wood materials to square it all up. not sure yet.
Maybe if i bed the whole barrel and then trim the glass bedding down instead of gluing wood in. the top of the rail will be painted brown anyhow.
the rear tang on the reciever also looks funny to me, the person before me sanded too much wood off, i might have to graft an elk antler on it back there to raise the stock surface there also.
But it looks like a gun again. here is what i did today.
ground off the bulk of the stick i put in the tip.

Nice--------With a few memories to boot. Good job.
-
going to head up to my buddies and fill the barrel channel with epoxy then lay the action and barrel back in it all with two layers of 10 mil PVC plumbing tape on the steel and strap it in place, this will give a nice free float, bring all the over sanded areas in the barrel channel back to grade and then i will paint on a brown color on top of the stock to hide all the epoxy filler.
Will also do a re-bedding on the reciever as well to make is rock solid.
I will also somehow place an aluminum rod in the forestock for added strength to prevent warping.
-
I found that butt plate. PM me your address and I'll get this out in the next couple of days.

AWSOME! Fits great! it was in the mailbox today.
I will find some screws for it at the gunshow this month and mount it with the correct ones.
Only needs a little bit of fitting and it will be on there for life.
Love my steel buttplates lol! Thanks again!
-
I didn't even think about the screws. I'll check later today when I get home. I might have those also.
-
I didn't even think about the screws. I'll check later today when I get home. I might have those also.
thats ok, i got some last night thanks again!
now i either have to add wood to the sides of the butt or grind away some steel. havent decided yet.
-
I would grind it down & make it fit the wood.
-
did quite a bit of hand sanding to remove scratches and some surface rust that accumilated on the barrel and reciever over time.
worked it over with 320 wet dry cut into strips. old fashioned way but it does a nice job with a little effort and elbow grease.
have to get soe durafil or something to fill in the little pits in the reciever.
then sand the reciever all over again lol
tomorrow i think i will attack the too long lug bolt on the rear tang.
-
today i got bored and headed to my washing machine work bench again.
i taped two layers of 10mil pvc tape on the barrel, then applied a ton of car wax all over it (i do mean a ton too).
greased up the forward end of the reciever aswell just in case the goo flows down that way.
I used GOOP brand supermend for my filler as its a 1/1 mixture and allows plenty of time to dink around before it hardens.
after it cures overnight it can be drilled, tapped, machined and its also great for casting your own fishing lures with too. its impervious to amost all chemicals and waterproof too.
dont get it on anything that does not matter to you, once it hits it there forever.
i was only trying to fill in under the barrel so everything was even under there again, looks like i did the job perfect so far. its floated still from chamber to tip of the stock, so thats all that matters to me, will hit the action tomorrow.
I also skimmed the top of the reciever with the epoxy, i am filling in pitting that was there, i will fill the rest tonight before i hit the rack, tomorrow i will file and sand all the surfaces flush again and the action and barrel will be ready for duracoating in a week (or atleast 2 days), making sure i let the epoxy gas out before applying anything on top of it to prevent bubbles in the paint.
-
Have you had to do laundry since this project started? :chuckle:
I am loving it. Keep it coming. I really like the pics/tutorial.

Have you had to do laundry since this project started? :chuckle:
I am loving it. Keep it coming. I really like the pics/tutorial.
lol! yeah, usually my wife will tell me she needs the work bench a couple hours ahead of the time she needs to wash stuff.
other than that i usually put all my stuff away every night.
really wish i had a heated garage ( or any garage for that matter) with a real workbench, but i do with what we have i guess.
It is kind of a pain to wok on stuff on it. but its a bench to work on.

well, tonight i fitted the buttplate to the stock, looks great despite the off center screw hole on the bottom, thats ok, maybe i can have it welded shut and just redrill a new one in the center of the plate.
I dont think its a big deal, gives it character i think.

Tomorrow, i will set in some more filler on the reciever, then find out where and how i can get the steel parts coated and baked to cure.
I will also be needing to bend the bolt handle and drill & tap the reciever for weaver mounts somehow also.
I think my buddy is asking his friend to see if he has time to help with that though.
I am happy with how its turning out so for. I think its looking quite well.
Wish i had a bunch of Coyote canine teeth. i would inlay them in the bad spot on the buttstock lol! one on each side.
-
hand polished the bolt today, what a pain.
Thank god for 600 grit paper and cardboard on my dremmel. hand got tired and used the dremmel in tight spots, avoided the face on the front of the handle lug though, dont want to mess with that part. just rubbed it with cotton shirt strips and buffing compond to get it out of the dull stage.
Didnt want to mess with headspacing sanding on that area.

i mocked up as close as i could with what i have around here, this actually works!
I used a couple blocks of MDF wood behind the follower, chopped an AR-15 spring down so the follower would sit flat on the bottom plate.
cycled a couple rounds (no trigger or sear on my rifle so its safe).
it needs some tweaking, but dang if it doesnt work.
doesnt work great, but it works none the less.

I was wondering how you were going to work out the necessary magazine modification. I love project that make you try new things. Great write up so far.
-
I was wondering how you were going to work out the necessary magazine modification. I love project that make you try new things. Great write up so far.
its still proving to be a pain in my arse, i have to make those two outer lips on top of the magwell (bottom of the reciever) narrower to hold the shell casings better when it gets to two rounds, otherwise they fly out of the magazine.
i am thinking about some thin hardened steel with rolled tops to create a cradle on top, one side only might work, but i want both sides done so it looks even, i will use that white butcherblock material or aluminum for the final block to fill the space behind the follower also. just have to find where i can buy a small chunk (or 6 in case i mess up).
-
You could just make it a single shot and save yourself alot of time ;).
-
You could just make it a single shot and save yourself alot of time ;).
honestly, i am not too fond of single shots, thats also the easy way out.
I am bound and determined to make this work. :chuckle:
if i wanted to have a single shot, i would have gone to cabelas or Bens loans and looked for a rossi or something.
how many people do you know that have a functional .223 mauser with a working magazine.
not many have went that far, i am different than the average joe. i like my projects to work correctly or not at all. Just my way of doing things.

heres the bolt face. completed by a smith prior to me recieving the barreled action.

this can be done by bending a square stock rod around a .223 casing in a vise also, then fitted to the bolt face and silver soldered in place or hang the comlete bolt in a jar, fill with water and freeze it up to the lip on the front of the bolt, then weld the insert with a tig too using silver rod.
Ice will keep the bolt cold while welding it up. a jewler can also solder the insert in place too, they have the proper torched to direct the heat exactly where needed so it doesnt over heat the whole bolt.
-
went up to McLendons Hardware and picked up some brass flatstock.
Decided to try and make what i need, i got it almost perfect, but the back wall is too far forward so i will move it tomorrow. too tired right now.
I also have to lower the makeshift ramp on the front of the mag insert too. it almost feeds right, but only holds one round right now. i also have to trim the tabs i left on top to hold the ammo in the mag a little tighter.
it will work tomorrow! :chuckle: (i hope)

after tomorrow i will have more than one round in it.
hope the feed works after trimming the ramp and the folded over parts
-
i got my magazine insert to work!
i can cycle 5 rounds almost perfect now!
just have to get a cupping indent in the loading ramp i made and it will be golden! :IBCOOL:
now to work on extraction issues, have to tighten the grip on the cases somehow, this may be a smith job though. so i will wait and see how well it extracts spent casings first.
-
picked up two matching sling swivels with quick disconnects for $2
looked all over the gun show for other things like weaver bases and whatnot. didnt really find any worth looking past the price tags and asking prices they wanted.
found a few things i would liked to have gotten but cost wasnt in the pallpark.
Then after giving up on looking for parts, i remembered i needed something to inlay into the stock and hide the horrendouse patch on the side of the buttstock, found a person that had two Badger claws. So now i will have two matching Badger claws inlaid in to the buttstock where the side sling mount was.

Now you know what Mr. Mauser felt like during r&d on that Mauser action. I'll bet his wife never got any laundry done :chuckle:
You have way more patience (and creativity) than me.
I am enjoying this thread by the way.

after the gun show and gold show yesterday. got home & took a nap to wake up later and be sick as a dog & freezing.
Not going to be working on this for awhile until i feel better and the shakes go away.
I was dubbed mr bolt action at the show saturday, when i walked up on my buddys table, i guess i looked right passed the AK's & AR's to the hunting rifles and the guys noticed this. they started laughing that i am a bolt action junkie lol!
theres just something intriguing about how they function and the history in some of them that attracts me. for some reason i am just not into all these commercial rifles that cost an arm and a leg, maybe because i cannot afford them lol!
-
Mothballing the project.
Cant (WONT!) pay $75 per hole to have a smith drill & tap my reciever.
friggin obsurd to charge that much for a stupid hole!
Covering the barrel and action in grease, wrapping it in wax paper and throwing it in a corner of my shed or something til i can afford the tools to complete everything myself later on.
Sucks the donkey, but it is what it is. :bash:
-
I know a smith who will probably do it cheaper than that. do you want me to ask him? detail what you need done please

I cant afford to pay anyone to do it for me, i will have to wait till i buy my own jig to drill & tap here at home.
My buddy said his shooting friend that is a machinist would do it, but waiting for someone else to have free time is killing my patience with all this free time on my hands and nothing to tinker with.
thanks though, much appreciated.

Have you already ground off the rear sight housing?
If not, I like the looks of this. Then you won't need the scope base d/t for now.

was no sights on the rifle when i got it. it will be a clean scoped custom once i can get back to work on it, if my truck canopy sells soon i will have the scope drilling jig and be able to also make a few bucks doing other rifles for friends to buy other things for my hobby lol!
One thing my eyes arent too fond of is open sights, they always blur on me if i shoot more than 5 rounds with iron sights for some reason. then i have to wear the fucus helpers for awhile. :bash:
Have great vision, my eyes are just getting lazy in their old age and focus alot slower than they used to.

too funny lol!
I wish i could, i am bored and at a dead stop until its drilled lol!
i cant coat the reciever or barrel until i drill it, dont want any scratches in my finish until i earn them from hunting trips lol!

someone buy my workmaster canopy so i can continue on with this project.

well, L&I just closed my claim on me for vocational purposes.
this project just got put on the WAY WAY back burner.
i am in limbo for vocational payments now, dont know if or when i will recieve anymore money, what i do get will unfortunately go straight into rent & bills. So this rifle wont be getting finished any time too soon.
That and the CDL driving school i was going to enter also closed their doors to private students, they are moving to only Governmental training positions like border patrol, Fire & rescue, Military & police.
Really sucks the donkey to work with a person in the school for over a year to walk in finally and sign all the paperwork and be told they stopped training civilian drivers "YESTERDAY".
Bass --- Turds.

I hope this don't burst your bubble but I forgot to mention that when you get done drilling and tapping all of your rifleS, crabs and I wanted it back. We might have some use for it too, or be able to loan it again or sell it. I hope this doesn't mean you won't love us anymore. :chuckle:
-
nope! not at all!
heck, just to be able to drill & tap this one project is great for me! :IBCOOL:
then i can atleast move forward with the project lol!
i will however be buying one as soon as i have a little extra spending money again. I want one so i can improve on it also and make it do a few other types of rifles as well.
-
I'll leave it up to crabs, He hasn't paid me his half yet so if he doesn't care, I'll just donate it to the cause. Hell it aint nuthin but money, friends are worth more...

i will buy it from you in a few days if i can get the funds....friends are more important than any posession period.
atleast with somone on the site having one, other members will benefit. times are too hard for everyone to not stick together here lol!
-
The drill jig just arrived. what is the best/easiest way to get it to you? I live in Lacey
-
I picked this scope jig up from KillBilly today, Thank you KillBilly!
I cant wait to make a mess on the washer with it lol! :IBCOOL:
Have to run up to McLendons hardware first though and check the #31 bits they have there with the pilot sleeve included in the kit though, seems as if the bit they sent with the kit is a little too big for the pilot sleeve hole. want to be careful, only want to drill each hole once rather than weld them shut and starting over after filling the holes because they are too large.
Cant wait to give this jig a go-round and get on with more progress. :IBCOOL:

Randy, you should call the company and ask them to make it right if they sent the wrong bit or pilot sleeve.

i will call them on Monday, i actually want shorter bits though so they have less tendancy to wander. the shorter screw bits always do a better job on precision holes a machinist told me at my last job. I just cant use carbide because they will drill super hard steel easier, that means i could break a tap off in there easier lol! :chuckle: that would ruin my day.

been really busy lately doing household chores and family stuff, also trying to get ready for a possible turkey trip with my neighbor this weekend & scrounging for a shotgun.
havent worked on the rifle for awhile.
-
:beatdeadhorse:
You should be beat like this horse, for leaving us hanging.
Turkey hunting can wait :chuckle:
-
getting to the point that i am going to give up on hunting anymore and use my huntin money on finishing this rifle up.
cant get anyone to go out and hunt with me when i can get out, may as well just spend the money on something rather than buy license and tags for something and not use them.

I want to clarify that dontgetcrabs participated in this purchase and we both feel it is a worthy cause to help out a friend in need. This is not the first time for either of us and it probably won't be the last.
-
thanks dontgetcrabs!!!!!!!
i have to run the top of the reciever through a milling machine even though i have the Jig, its not perfectly flat and the front ring leans towards the rear, i dont want to bind the scope mount or have the scope rings leaning back towards the butt either.
Just has too much angle on it and i dont want goddy looking shims showing under the scope mount.

Not sure how much "lean" there is, but you could drill/tap and mount the bases then, "LAP" the rings for a non-binding scope mount.
Just a thought :twocents: May be cheaper than what you were thinking.
Hey--------Glad to see you back at the project. Beats American Idol any day :chuckle:

I was thinking about that also, i have to still go and pick out the mount i want to use, dont know if i want two piece or one, but i am told a one piece will be better than dual bases.

got bored today (whats new), i decided i was done waiting to have someone else get free time to drill & tap this thing, so i did it here.
worked well! Except the tap sucked ass, atleast it waited to break while i was removing it from the last hole. have to stock up on some new ones.
Have to order online i think, proprietary thread 6/40 or 42. Hardware doesnt carry them.
I had to anneal the steel on each hole with my torch, heated a rod (nail) to almost melting, then placed it in the center punch mark until it cooled on each of the holes, did the job perfect!
heres my destruction for today. went with a two piece mounting system due to cost, 8mmman helped me with the front one, but i had to buy the rear one still even though i got one i could have worked withm but my file was missing in action today and weather was take a ride to the sporting goods store weather.
Scope will be changed out.
Have to change the bolt handle also too.

going to coat it soon with affordable stuff i have used before, header paint. all i can afford and i already have it, works well, chemical resistant after baking it at 350 to 400 for 30 minutes, then letting it cool completely then baking it again at 400 for an hour. i wont dare bake it any hotter than that.
I also have to turn the bolt down, i got a remington 700 bolt handle i will have put on there, i am cutting this one off at just above the curve, then have someone TIG weld the new one on it.

Yea, I was confused as well
-
Yeah, i made good use of the dry weather and potting bench i made for the wife with an old narrow and long pallet lol!

i did a little preparing for memorial day trip.
Today i coated the stock with 15 coats of Danish oil in natural.
let that sit while i worked on the other stuff Looks good although i will want to still inlay something in the patched areas later on.
i sprayed the actionm barrel and alot of little parts and let them dry, i didnt bake it because i will remove it all again after the camping trip over memorial day.
I used VHT fireproof spray on it, i like the looks. however i noticed i drilled the rear scope base crooked somehow, even though i used the jig i see its possible to screw something up. Oh well i will plug the rear hole and use a one piece scope mount anyhow then hide the rear hole with a screw, paint over it, sand it flush then paint it again. later on i will use durracoat or another name brand gun paint. this stuff works well if you have an oven to use, i dont right now though.
I also changed the bolt handle over the past week to a remington 700 handle & knob. Its still too tall for normal height scope rings though, i will have to stick with taller rings or try a smaller scope. i guess its fine though, i will see when i shoot it at camp..but this way the safety still works too.
heres the outcome of todays venture.
-
Wow that's beautiful! Excellent work. :)
-
That turned out nice. Thanks for this thread.
Good job.
-
im going to go ahead and grind on the bolt a little more so it will slide under a shorter set of rings, i cant stand tall rings.
will have to figure out a different safety device since this one will be inoperable now.
maybe i will just order the sporter safety and call it good.
-
got the bolt reworked again, now have short rings and a different scope on it, wanted the wide view new bushnell i have on there. oh well.
i will bend the bolt handle to fit my good scope later on, dont want to remove much more steel off the bolt handle until i see how the rifle functions on a range day.
if anyone has a bunch of .223 ammo near kent they dont want let me know i may buy some off you.

can you post up a tutorial on how you changed out that bolt handle? I'd love to be able to put a larger one on mine.

my buddy did mine for me, all that it was is a cutoff wheel on a die grinder, cut the bolt off where i wanted it cut, then got a different bolt and cut the handle off that too and married them together with a TIG welder.
i didnt do it myself but it was really basic work if a person knows TIG welding.

Damn. I was hoping it was a simple swap out of parts. I don't weld nor do i want to pay a welder to do the work. Thanks though.

if you can cut the parts, many welding shops will do it for a nominal fee of around $40 or less.

can you send a close up pic of the new bolt handle and the welding work?

You owe me 40 bucks :chuckle:

i picked up a box the other day & have a box of wolf from the gunshop. also got a bunch of questionable loose surplus rounds.
i will mosly be shooting my AK47 (mak90) anyhow lol! thanks though KB!
Unless you will be at the gunshow this weekend in puyallup, i will be working a table with Big_Daddy (Gamefishin.com owner) so nobody palms anything while he is filling out FFL papers with folks.
I also have a few friends that would haul it up here and bring it to the show too. i have to ask them. is it ok to give them your ## to call & set up a time to meet you to pick it up for me (he owns westernwashingtonfirearms.com)?
-
You filed my welds away :bash:
no, i gracefully polished them enough so the bolt would go forward and backwards with a scope on the rifle lol!
they were 100% bitchin welds!, PS i should have cut the spur off the side of the bolt shorter lol! oh well, live and learn the hard way, thats how i roll lol! :bash:
-
tease bump, so i dont have to search for the post again.
I am going to be working on this again soon so i want it closer to the front.
