There was a thread on here earlier about goat decoys.
I was just wondering how many of you have tried this one?

Havent used one myself yet, but have several buddies that have and have heard good things.
I have also spent some time with the guys from Be The Decoy and they are a good bunch!
-
HAHAHA you could not pay me to put that thing on and walk around :chuckle: I could see that leading to a few hunters getting shot :yike: Heck some brush pickers get shot for wearing a dark jacket, during bear season.
-
They went to a show or two back east and got the same response. Western shows were much more positive toward it.
I don't think people have to worry about getting shot unless they wore it late in the evening in low light or brush country which is rare for goats.

I wouldnt have a problem wearing it in archery season. Deff not rifle!

I need one to wear around the Taxidermy shop :chuckle:

:yeah:

:chuckle: yeah maybe archery, and not within 100 yards of a road :chuckle: Still not my cup of tea, I will use a cow decoy if anything.
-
I'm looking for a few good antelope guides willing to wear the lope suit.... :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
no way i'm wearing it 8) to many poachers ;)

:lol4: So thats why you told me you had a opening Dale :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

I watched a hunting show where two guys used a hat that looked like a deer. Not as elaberate as that, there's was home made. They walked with in 4 yards of deer bed down and shot them with archery EQ. I have what I need to make one but just have not done it yet.
I think it is a cool idea and will try it some time but not durring riffle season :bdid:
-
I would wear come archery season :twocents:

I'm 75% sure they said a couple of shows were going to be using it this fall. Should be entertaining if nothing esle.
And yes, they are great guys. They may even be members, but maybe not. They are from Montana.
Should go over and ask them to join.
-
I bet it works great, bucks in the rut hate competition, decoys are fun, just not in favor of being a target myself. :chuckle:
-
might want to be careful wearing that in the rut. :yike:
-
You'll get shot in rifle season with one of those.
-
I've seen guys use hats very similar to those on kodiak island for blacktails. No suit just the hat, during the rut the deer will let you walk right up to them within a few yards. Theres video on the web somewhere.
They also make them for dall sheep with a big full curl and everything. I wouldnt feel comfortable knowing I'm wearing a suit that looks like a trophy animal when people can shoot out to 700 yds :o
-
I would try it. Before I go, If I was u. I would wear bullet- proof vest before wear decoy clothes. :yike:
Mulehunter. :chuckle:
-
If you wear a buck hat, some buck will want to fight you.
if you wear doe hat a horny buck will try to mount you.
or some guy that needs glasses will send a round down range, I will wear my punkin suit thank you. ;)

Does this sound a little goofy? Trying to look like an antelope during antelope season?
When I pack out my horns, I tie pink surveyors tape all over them and make sure my orange vest is showing well. I even tie the horns on my pack upside down so anyone that just might not have a good view of me will have to look hard at upside down horns and hopefully figure it out before they shoot.

Doesn't seem like a good idea to me. I thought this was a joke at 1st.
