Title: Spring or Fall?
Post by: quadrafire on March 04, 2011, 05:24:53 PM: If I ever shoot a bear (I don't think I will ever mount or rug one)----------Which would be the best to eat?

I am tempted to put in for spring, but think with "hibernation" all winter they would not be that tasty to eat. Any comments would be appreciated

Post by: lokidog on March 04, 2011, 06:02:47 PM: We never noticed a bad taste with spring bears taken at our cabin in Ontario. I might be more concerned about bears that had been eating rotten salmon no matter the time of year.
