It is getting hot in the hills, but not hot enough to keep me home in the ac. found a single and a winter kill this weekend.
-
Too bad...that was a good looking bull.
-
too bad on the winter kill. that would be a nice one
-
He would have been a good bull this year. Not a monster but a nice bull! Congrats on the other find!
-
Damn, too bad for him great for you, nice find
-
Very nice finds. I like to be sympathetic for the bull, but I have seen so many winterkills this year that I've gotten kind of numb to it .. It take's alot of determination to find sheds this late..Most place's have been pounded buy now.Great Job..

That's too bad that bull had alot of promise ... nice looking fronts and who knows if he could have carried that out to a 6th or 7th ????? (https://hunting-washington.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fbestsmileys.com%2Fsad%2F9.gif&hash=a842cb80221ccba93d2913234441000782202776)

Question, when you find a rack with the head still attached do you soak it in peroxide or what do you do with it? Just wondering because it would be a good European
-
Its illegal to retain winter kills in washington.

I have a friend who found a sheep skull this last week. She left it and called the WDFW and they let her go get it and keep it. Amazed the heck out of me. So......I would call them and get permission, document the hell out of who I talked to and when with a tape recorder, and then go get it.
-
If your going to start a sheep skull collection I'd get them to sign a letter in blood :dunno:
-
Kind of what I told her. She called to talk to my wife about it and I was like YIKES. Don't pick it up. She asked what to do, so I said call them, they'll probably ask you to go get it for THEM. She called back later and said she could have it. I'm like get it in writing.
-
Don't they need to drill a hole and perminantely mark them?
-
I have no idea. I've never had the balls to bring one home. This is the third ram skull that I know of that was found this year. I assume the others came home as well, but I don't know that. As far as I know they didn't even ask to see it. I was going to volunteer to clean it up for her, but I don't think I want to touch the thing.
-
I'd call and ask them and if they didn't agree to let me have it I'd tell them to go find it yourself! ... then I'd most likley go get it in the dark ... ah ... ah ... that is with Pope's phone number in my pocket! ;)
-
I found one in Wyoming a couple a few years ago, found the skull and only one horn.
-
Too bad that bull did not make it through the winter...Yeah it was hot here on the west side, went out hiking Saturday near the pass and it was almost 85 up there. The rivers are really getting big.
-
thats pretty cool.
ive found skeletons before with skull but never any horns attached.
