is the glen del full rut worth the money or am i better off with a block/bag. for field tip and broad heads

I have one it's a good target. It has held up good for the 2 years i have owned it. Its nice to not shoot at a bag or block all year. I use mine for broadheads only. The kids shoot it alot with there field tips. It keeps there attention. I have it a block and a Bag. It depends tho some say it's not I think it is when thisone gets ruined i'll be getting another.

I make my own field tip targets with recycled plastic grocery bags from Freddy's and grain sacks from the local feed store. The total cost of the target is $0.25 and they last for months. When they get too beat up. I take the grocery bags out and stuff them into a new grain sack.
Really stuff them in tight, close them up by either stitching or stapling, and these targets will stop any arrow you launch at 'em.

I have the glen del buck in my field. I love it because it is consistent in arrow pulling and has taken thousands of hits over a few years. I only shoot it with field points so it'll last plenty more years without even needing to replace the insert. The problem I have is the local deer kick the crap out of it when the rut comes along. I've repaired every leg at one time or another, both ears, and the antlers are down to spikes now. The coyotes kill my coyote target, and the deer kill the deer targets. My bedded buck is a little tougher, I think, because it has been attacked plenty of times, but I haven't had to repair it yet.

The old man bought a glen del and its a sweet target. We shoot alot so by the time I shot a broadhead at it I went clean through. It still stops field points just fine.

The glen dell is a great target I have shot out the center twice and had to replace it. Broadheads eat it out quick. With field points it lasts a long time. Rinehart targets I feel are better and hold up to broadheads better. :twocents:
