Title: Wenaha Spring Bear
Post by: beardown on March 27, 2011, 09:30:04 AM: My buddy drew a Wenaha spring bear tag. We have never hunted that area before although I have hunted other areas in the blues successfully. Does anyone have any tips for hunting that unit? We will be there every weekend, but if its the same as other units, the snow will limit us until later into the season. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Post by: time2hunt on March 27, 2011, 09:37:06 AM: Get in shape that unit is mostly wilderness, But it is usaully huntable by the first of May but there's still alot of snow up high until June. See ya there and good luck

I was hoping more for spot and stalk from the road and hook my winch and cable up and drag it out, maybe I should have stuck with a wetside unit ;) Sounds like maybe we should have a huntwa party in the Blues this spring with all the tagholders! nwhunter

Hunt wa party! There will be a lot less bears after this Spring. I am hoping the snow starts melting!!!
