Sooooo I didnt draw the permit but my uncle did! We are both excited to get out and try for a spring bear. We are looking to get it on film for another video! Does anyone have any advice on what calls to use? high elevations or low? clear cuts or timber? and I would like to see any pics or videos you have of bears taken in the spring especially from this hunt! thank you in advance and I will keep you guys posted on how the hunt goes!

Just be aware that your uncle is going to have to pay an access fee for the hunt unless he already purchased the annual permit. Last year this temp pass was $100.
-
Not to mention, they wont even let you go in with him because they only allow his spouse and his children that are under the age of 18. I am pretty sure they wont let you go in with him unless you already have a separate access permit that you purchased.

:yeah:
People really need to research this bear permit before you put in for it.

I love it in there, but they do check. One year I had my yearly permit pulled for going 7 mph over the speed limit during late buck. They are strict! I did a spring bear hunt in there last year and had a blast.

Hancock has their own security guy that patrols the tree farm year round. WDFW Officers patrol it year round, and heavily during any hunting season. Hancock actually funds the WDFW patrols. And the local USFS Officer also patrols it periodically. So yes, they do check, you can't even walk/bike without a permit in this farm. You will be cited with trespassing if you are there without a permit.
