Just passed the skull off to Killbilly for some beetle cleaning, took these snap shots before I left, as I only had a disposable when I got the bear...my digital had busted back then. This was a sow, killed at the end of Sept 07, for those interested in looking at bear teeth... ;)

What was the age of that bear?

I havent turned in the tooth yet Billy. I got the bear, tossed it in the freezer (usually snag tooth after I boil the skull) and gave it to taxidermist so he could skin out the face. Picked it up about a month ago and just now thawed it out. I will turn the tooth in once I get it back from Killbilly.
And yes, I know it says to turn in the tooth 10 days..blah blah (to anyone who wants to bring it up) but I dont mind paying 10 bones if I am late.
Judging from the teeth and grayish muzzle/face, I bet she was fairly old. Im xcited to find out.

You probably posted it last fall - but do you have a pic of the bear?

You cant really tell too much in these photos, but she did have some gray (or blue-ish I guess) to her (as well as scars on the face (by the eyes) and a 4in scar on her back leg). Sorry for the crappy photos, these are scans of actual pics from a disposable...
Story write up was called "Bear downed with Tikka T3 300 WSM."
