Awesome thanks man, Im guessing that is the address you have to go in person to get the pass?
-
Yep.
-
I have not received my Kapowsin tag and info yet. I am expecting the packet on April 14th :chuckle:
-
I drew for Monroe and have not recived anything. Will info come with the permit or do I need to contact someone?
-
When I put in for my spring tags, I knew what agency and what companies set the boundaries. You may want to start by contacting them.

i did not notice any info in the permit application section of the regulations.

they will send you the results via mail, then you will head into one of the dept. offices (which they will give you the address for) to pick up some maps/drop off a check (which they hold until you give the back the key for the gates).
Green Crow also may also give you a map when you go to get the key from them. I got drawn a few years ago, and that was how it worked.
-
how does the permit to have a guest come with you work? does that person have to go with you and also show Id ect when you get the pass?
-
ITT Rayonier never had a "guest" permit when I drew. If they go in your rig then their is not problem.

Last year the North Skagit packets came around the 8th of April and were able to pick up the key from DNR around the 13th.
-
I got my Monroe key last year 2 or 3 days before the season started.
-
I got my key on the Friday before the opener....
-
Nope
-
NO!!!! Not sure how a guy is going to have much time scouting or even researching the area with the little time WADFW give us after getting drawn.
-
Don't panic, opening day is usually very early for the most part. There are usually more bears seen an harvested in late April and may. More grass later and warmer weather make a big difference.

Second that! Plenty of scouting to do in april, usually doesn't pick up till the last few weeks of season!
-
DNR emailed me a map before the drawing was even done.

Someone posted on another link that the Copalis access permit costs $100 per hunter not per truck load. If you take a non-hunter along they too have to have an access permit, but I believe it was free for them.
-
It was free for non huntimg companions the first 2 years. Now it costs $100.00 for every human heartbeat.
You can go to this link and get more info or call for support

^ not true, cost is 100 bucks for the hunter, companion permits are free. You can purchase your permit beginning April 11, mon. thru fri. from 9 to 11 am. or one sat. april 9, 9am to 3pm. Not very convinient but thats how they do it.....
-
I recieved my hancock info today. I will be buying their $100 access permit. I wish you could get into the tree farm before the 15th, but I know I will have plenty of time to find some bears.
-
Nothing for me yet! Waiting..........
-
Nothing here yet.
-
Still waiting...... :bash:
-
Keep waiting. I have last years Monroe packet if anyone would like to take a peek at it let me know.
-
I haven't even got the permit in the mail yet
-
A buddy and I got drawn for North Skagit. Have got nothing. Called Mill Creek they said 7-10 days from draw date. Called the Big House today and they told me they were still working out details with timber companies. And they hoped to have something in the mail by Monday.
I have heard rumors that they are not wanting to give out keys because last year to many people were letting others in.
It might just be me but seems they are last minute a lot of the time on stuff. I had some friends who were working on Pheasant Release sites last year. And after they did all the work over at Sedro the DFW dropped the ball on a parking permit from the county.

-
Got the permit today in mail . Rushed over to DNR Sedro, got key $100 deposit , maps, contacts, and some papers to sign. Leaving Thursday afternoon. Good luck

I got my Monroe permit today. Does the dept of wildlife send contact info with the permit? Because I didnt get anything.
-
My info came next day in another packet. With a a Vehicle Dashboard Pass. contacts and other info.
Some of the stuff i had already got from DNR.
-
I feel better now. Finally got the rest of the info from fish and wildlife sat. heading to DNR monday.
-
Got my permit today, still waiting for the packet.
-
Got my key and info from dnr yesterday. Did some scouting tonight. Put almost 70 miles on the KLR tonight cruizing the roads. Pretty cool to pull up to a gate that i havent been able to go past for twelve years and open it with a key and drive right through. :IBCOOL: alot has changed since I was there last.
-
Yeah i got out after work an scouted. Took me a few minutes to figure out how that gate worked. But was nice driving through. No one else around. Drove 6 miles up to snow line. 2 3lb rabbits and a grouse.
-
I haven't received anything from the wdfw, yet making me a little nervous.

Me too, checked the mail today and still nothing WTF!
-
They said your will be mailed after the 31st :chuckle:
-
I can not believe it is April 14th and I have not received my info. from the State. I wish there was someone I could contact that would care in regards to how the State runs there "business" . If the State had to make a dollar in the real world there "business" would fail in the first month.
-
I havent recieved anything from the state yet either, drew Kapowsin, got info from Hancock say congrats you got a spring bear tag two weeks ago, but nuttin from WDFW! MORONS!!!!!! :bash:
-
fireoff, i have the same letter but nothing from the State. Its amazing to think if you drew this tag and intended on camping in the area (not many areas for that) due to living a long was off you could not leave for your bear hunt because the state has not provided the tags. :bash:
-
i haven't recieved my permit yet either hope it comes this week
-
Just talked to wdfw, they told me that our Kapowsin permits were mailed out on Tuesday. With a little luck we'll get them today. Still ridiculous that it comes down to the wire like this!
-
I just got my Kapowsin permit in the mail ,just in the nick of time.
-
got my permit and packet and picked up my key from DNR today :IBCOOL: might have to call in sick tomorrow :chuckle:
-
Call Evan at 360-2452 he can email the permit to you. He did mine.
-
Finally, I got the permit in the mail today. Yea, I guess I can go hunting after all!
thanks wdfw
