Title: A Hunting Buddy And Friend: Free AKC Lab Pup Drawing.
Post by: carpsniperg2 on March 30, 2011, 08:50:02 PM: Huntergreg has decided to donate a pup to one of our forum members!

What we have decided to do is have a random drawing to determine who gets the pup. Please only enter the contest if you are serious about getting the pup. That means you can take care of the pup and you know for a 100% fact you can take the pup. The winner will also need to pick up the pup in Ellensburg.

If you want to be included in the drawing, put “Please enter me into the drawing” in your post. People not wanting the pup can still post freely, but only people who put the above statement in their post will be entered. That way I can keep track of who wants into the drawing.

This will be a random drawing. I will assign each person in the drawing a number and enter it into a random number generator, to determine the winner. The contest will run for 5 days from the start of the drawing. The winner will be posted on here after the drawing. I will also contact them by pm and pass Greg’s phone number on to the winner.

Good Luck in the drawing! Everyone can enter this drawing, “other than me”. Just make sure you know you can take the pup before entering into the drawing.

She was a great companion and hunting partner (although my son is still the best hunting partner I can have!). I would love to have a pup, especially a black lab. He/She would keep me company, be a member of the family, be loved and trained properly.

On a side note... this offer is very generous! Kudos to you Huntergreg!

Two weeks ago we had to put down our family friend of 10 years. Jessie was the best friend and companion to my four kids and my wife and myself. She was a black lab and I want to have her place honored by the same breed again.

Our female is getting old and cant hunt the way she used to anymore without taking 2 + days to recover. Our male would have been 3 last Sunday and was going to be our primary hunting dog starting this year.

We are back at square one, so we need a puppy now while I still have another field trained dog to train a pup under. I will be making lots of trips to Whiskey Dick this fall if a new pup is in our future.

What an awesome gesture, and it is appreciated. Please everyone, like Jackelope said, take this very seriously, as you would if you were purchasing a dog.

We lost one of our dogs, and my other dog needs a playmate.
my daughters are bugging me for another dog.
We live on 5 acres, with a fenced front yard and large Doghouse that the girls just use to play hide-and-seek in now.

My son and I have been drooling over your website looking at the dogs and puppies. Please enter me into the drawing. Even if I dont get drawn I will be looking in the near future to purchase a pup. Have had dogs forever and lost my last hunting dog several christmases ago, and the boy is wanting to learn to bird hunt so its time to get back in the game and get a pup to train. It is up to carp. When ever he is ready to do the draw it can be done. I have 4 pups left to choose from. 3 males and 1 female. If carp wants to do the draw sooner he can so the winner could take a female if wanted.

The reason it is a 5 day contest is this: not everyone gets on every night, by giving it a little more time it gives everyone plenty of chance to enter. You don't go around posting in other contests that have a draw date setup with things like "run the drawing already" that's in very poor taste to a great contest. everyone can wait one more day. The contest will be run tomorrow evening as it is set in the rules that everyone read in order to enter the contest.

A big thank you and kudos to Greg! This was a great offer to a great community here on Hunt-Wa. As I stated in an earlier post on this thread, I am a winner already! You see, after entering the contest I thought about what a great gesture this was to offer a pup up to the forum members. I PM'ed and called Greg and let him know, no matter the outcome of the drawing I wanted one of his pups, thought I could help him out by buying one if I didn't win. Well, last weekend my son went over and picked out a male. I'm a winner as I've got a new buddy! I'll have my son post a pic..... Still haven't decided on a name and probably won't until I get to see him. It's either Duke (big John Wayne fan) or Parker (after the SxS shotguns).
