I was fortunate to find the landowner this weekend for some of those fields outside Trout Lake where I've seen turkeys several times. When I talked to him he also told me what a pain in the butt a few large elk bulls have been, knocking down fences and such. Later in the day, I picked up a hitch hiker who's a caretaker for some orchards and they're all torqued about turkey and elk damage, too. I lucked out big time! This'll be the first season I'll bowhunt for turkey and the first on private land. What a treat!
