Title: Lifesize Bobcat (Charlies Taxidermy)
Post by: bucklucky on April 05, 2011, 03:57:04 PM: Just got this mount finished out today. It was an 18 pound cat if I remember correctly. Glad to get it done, got like 6 left to do, bobcats that is. This is on a simple habitat also. No extras on this one . Enjoy the pics.

I just took in 2 bobkitty rugs from 1 guy :chuckle: I think the other ones are all lifesize.

I am at $1000.00 on bobcats just like you see. They are just way too time consuming to do and make look right . The top prices on Bobcats are around 1800, the lows are around 450 just to give ya a scale.

I have seen so many of them with these real bright pink noses that they could almost glow in the dark. Very nice and smooth mount and love the eyes too in which is the hardest part on them. Great job there Charlie. Love that base too :) :) :)

I forgot to mention that this cats left eye was messed up, The eye was bulging and grey and the eyelid was badly scaredand not the same size as the good side. I had to do some sculprting to get it closer to the other side. ANd also the color of that nose was painted by looking at the picture of the cat . Came out pretty close.

And after seeing your live mounts of your clients bobcats, I am also a little twitterpated about seeing how your gonna mount you mtn lion. I'm just saying.......... :chuckle:

Might as well have someone else do it for me :chuckle: One of these days Goldtip, one of these days :o
